I have never had wisdom toot deleted before, has anyone? Pls tell, how was this? I'm not afraid of pain, but the sound makes me horrified. ![]() Any advice?

I've once had to get tons of teeth pulled that hadn't grown in yet and it didn't really hurt. They should give you some sort of anesthetic so that you're knocked out during it. The hours following are kinda achy-painful, tylenol helps. But the anticipation is a lot worth than the actual thing.

I had mine taken out during surgery, so I guess I must have had it easy, besides the surgery.

I had that done once for two of my other teeth. They just gave me a shot in each side of my gums (which hurt like ****), and then they yanked them out. I was awake, and I could still feel it.

Ohh, so you're just like getting numbed up? It still wont hurt and just concentrate on something else. Ask the dentist if you can bring a book or something to read during the operation. If they pull out a tool that looks gruesome, just remind yourself that you wont be able to feel it.

Bring a stress toy or something that you can squeeze on really hard when it hurts. That's what helps me when I have to get a shot / something else painful.

I had one of them pulled this morning and it was not painful, but she pressed on it like ***.
Then she couldnot extract it and she tried like 20 tools before she finally could extract it. After pain was HORRIBLE plus it was bleeding heavily. Now im ok, and thanx anyway

I'm sorry for not getting to you earlier. I posted a thread awhile ago before I got four of them removed so I could get braces. It didn't hurt at all during the procedure, the shots were tolerable, not painful at all. So yeah, you probably know what it feels like now, basically you don't feel anything when it's coming out and stuff.
However, after the procedure, it was bleeding nonstop when I came home and it took a lot of time for it to stop (they gave me those cottons to put where my teeth are removed). And it's really painful, I took tons of pain-killing pills and it helped.
