Very weird topic title for me to be typing in, just "V". V was a TV miniseries from the 80's about aliens that came to Earth, wanted to share their knowledge, etc etc ad nauseam. The aliens were reptiles and instead just infiltrated mankind, and the series ended with them interbreeding with people to spread their race. Really cheesy, really dumb, really 80's, and something totally up my alley.

Tonight on ABC (8/7c) the new series of the same name will premiere. I haven't really dug up much information on it, but I am totally going to be all over it. Anyone else going to check it out?

(Also this is just a sidenote, for those of you who prowl the eBay Daily Deal section you can get the entire 80's miniseries on DVD right now for $11. Not sure how long that deal is going to go on but I totally just jumped on that deal faster than any other Daily Deal I can remember.)

I figured I'd check it out, it looks alright. I wasn't aware that it had previously been a mini-series though.

I remember watching the first few episodes as child in the late 90s on VHS, and for some reason having a "V" action figure. So it's a part of my childhood, if only because remembrances of it constitutes some of my earliest memories. I'll check it out, but I'd really like to see some of the original episodes again, which I remember liking if not really comprehending.

I saw the commercial for it yesterday and watched the longer one online. I might watch it.

Gameinformer had this on their list of TV shows that needed to be turned into video games. Looks interesting enough.

I don't think so. T.V show games never work out.

As for the series, I might watch it. It looks like a nice revival of an older series. I'll try watching the original mini-series along with the newer series.

I was talking to my mom about the series and she said she remembered watching the original. It seems like it will be really good.

I plan on watching it.
