As an idea, I made an IRC Channel, named MCCPfilm. This was just an idea, so if you needed realtime chat (like AIM), you could use that.

If you want to use it:
Link
a. Go to irc://irc.foonetic.net:6669/MCCPmovie (irc://irc.foonetic.net:6669/MCCPfilm) (if it doesn't work, or says "not supported", look below)

irc.foonetic.net:6669, #MCCPmovie

If this isn't needed, it can be deleted.

Instructions
Figuring as I don't know what IRC client you are using, I'll create a tutorial for Mozilla Suite (it may work for others):

b. Type the following (* means enter)

/server irc.foonetic.net:6669*
/join MCCPmovie*

c. If you don't want to download an IRC client, go to http://www.mibbit.com/chat/, and do the following:

Click "Server" next to the drop-down list, and type "irc.foonetic.net:6669"
Change your name to what you want it to be, and the channel to "MCCPmovie" (or "#MCCPmovie")

EDIT: Sorry about the updates, but the IRC channel wasn't registering the channel, so I moved to another port (and Channel)

Sorry but how do you use IRC?

It's a type of chat. AKA Internet Relay Chat. Basically download a IRC client I recommend TinyIRC (http://www.tinyirc.net/)(256kb approx). And basically just click File Quick Connect. Then type in the irc server and your preffered nick then when you are connected type /join #roomname and then tah dah you are done.

an even easier way. go to http://www.mibbit.com/chat
go to the server drop down list and find foonetic. Then as the chanel type in #MCCPfilm
Make sure you have a nickname in there and go/connect.

I have updated the first post, it has differences from the original.

I'd say we host this on PaytonBice.com. Payton knows how to run IRC's.

As long as it has an IRC server in it, we can.

We'd have our own server, and it would be self hosted. That'd probably be best.

It would probably be easier, then, so if you get everything set up, post the details here.

I'm just tossing this out there, unless I post otherwise anybody claiming to be me is not me. I don't know how to use IRC at all.
