Dear Student,
You have been chosen for our prodigious school, The Four Elements Academy of Elemental Manipulation. You may not know it, but you have the pure blood of an Elementalist, which can enable you to manipulate the four Elements. Once you arrive, you will be placed into one of the four houses; Earth, Wind, Fire, or Water. Depending on which house you are placed in determines which Element is your main and easiest to manipulate.
In our school, you will find many young individuals such as yourself, all striving for the same common goal: to be an Elementalist. You will all learn to work together, both as a house and as a united force of the Elements.

There will be a ship leaving from Port Jameson on September 8th, 2010. Please pack the items listed on your dormitory sheet attached.
We hope to see you in the near future!

Laila arrived at Port Jameson. She said bye to her parents, and arrived on the ship. She saw she was quite early. After climbing aboard she placed all of her belongings on the floor, next to her, while laying on a sun bed.

Second thoughts, that wasn't that long to pack. Josh checked the time and knew he would be early so he decided to stay and wait.

Laila had her puppy in her hands- she knew they probably wouldn't be allowed, however she loved him to much- therefore decided she would hide him in her room, giving him as much freedom as he could get during night times, etc.

Josh left and arrived at the ship and spotted someone, he was about to say hi but blushed. He mumbled to himself Why am I so shy!

Gabi rolled her luggage onto the boarding station. She sighed at the huge ocean liner.
Wow, how long is this ride over to the school?
She checked her ticket. They would arrive at 9:17pm.
10 hours, wonderful.

Josh spotted another person and opened his mouth and stuttered out Hey? I..I guess your.. get..getting on the boat.

Gabi waved to him.

Err, I'm called Josh and I'm from Nickenville, Just..Just down the road. You?

Gabi Casiuzes, I'm from Venice, Italy, but we moved here when I was 5. So I'm in New York. I can't believe we're going to England.
She said excitedly.

Josh was blushing and didn't know what to say next.

On the back of the note it said mine, wind. Josh carefully takes out the note and shows it to Gabi.

Oh, I thought we were sorted once we got to the school.
Gabi looked on the back of her note and smiled.
Ahah, lucky guess.

I'm glad that I am not in fire. Josh quickly thinks that Gabi will take offence when he didn't mean to offend her. My..My parents died in a house fire, I never went near fire again.

Oh, sorry to hear.
Gabi said, frowning.
Fire is a pretty dangerous thing...but then again so am I when I'm angry.
She laughed lightly.
Elements seem to pick you for your personality, that's what I've read.

Really? I'm not surprised that I was chosen for wind. Well it depends if its the quiet kind of wind.
Josh was getting more confident.

It all turns out to be a balanced force in the end, the four Elements.
Gabi said, smiling. The ramp to the ship lowered suddenly.
Looks like it's already time to board!

Josh picks up his bags and slowly walks on.

Great, I made it. Now to read up on this Academy place that's supposed to teach me with this elemental stuff.
He sat down and pulled out a pamphlet.

Panting and puffing, Lyric made her way to the boarding station. It was already tough for her to carry her bags, so it was a big inconvienence for her almost being late. She quickly boarded the ship and sat her bags down.

She got out a hanky and blew her nose.

She yawned and went back to reading.

She turned to Josh again.

"Do you happen to know when we arrive?" She smiled again.

"A Tale of Two Cities." Lyric replied to Gabi's question. She shut her book in boredom and stuck it back into her bag.

Gabi smiled, then grabbed a pillow from her carry-on and began to sleep.

TIME SKIP. TIME: 9:15pm

Attention passengers. We will be arriving in T minus 5 minutes. Please prepare for unload. Thank you.

Gabi yawned, stuffing her pillow back in her bag.

Lyric opened her eyes, yawned and stretched a little. "I never got your name yet. I'm Lyric." she said to Gabi.

She smiled and gave a little wave.
I think I forgot to ask; what house are you going to be in?

"What's it to ya?" Lyric laughed. "Just kiddin', I'm going to be in wind. How about you?"

Gabi said, looking at her note lying in her bag.
I'm a bit nervous. I don't know anyone in my house yet, except for that angsty guy.

"I'm pretty unsure as to who is in my house, but I don't really care. I'm not going to let them get in the way of my studies anyways." Lyric said.

Gabi got on a bus, and it was filled with fancy lights, TVs, very comfortable seating, snack bars and hot drink machines.

I'm just glad that I'm so lucky to go to this school.
The bus was riding through the countryside and passing the spectacular stars.

Lyric nodded in agreement. "Have you ever attempted fire manipulation, Gabi?" Lyric asked, out of curiousity.

I remember trying to make fire, along with water once.
Gabi said nostalgically.
I- well, nothing happened, so I thought I hadn't inherited the Elementalism gene. Got me into a right depression.
She laughed a bit.

"I had once, in a feild of flowers. I managed to create a small amount of wind, powerful enough to make a flower sway side to side. I was only the ripe age of ten though." Lyric laughed.

Josh overheard their conversation

I heard that to make fire, Fire Elementalists have to learn how to chemically break down air particles.

It won't be hard, your lucky to be learning fire. You can control it to stop a house fire or something like that.
Josh saddened as he remembered his parents.

I've always been fascinated with fire, but over time I learned how to make it without the "magical liquid." I didn't really know how I did it though... Recently after that I got a letter to come here to become an Elementalist. Sounded interesting.

There's no such thing as magical liquid. You have to synthesize fire.

And you can control it I suppose. I won't stop practicing...I've got to be the best.

The bus screeched and hissed to a halt.

Josh stepped out of the coach.

He was shell shocked.
This doesn't look like a school, it looks like a castle.

Gabi exclaimed. The school was placed high in the mountains, an extravagant white castle with many towers and buildings.
I wonder if we have to climb up there...
She thought out loud.

[Berzie]

This is going to take a while if we have to walk there.
Luna's leg's were hurting just looking at the mountain.
She walked out side. She didn't have much luggage.

A chaperone was walking towards the large waterfall on the side of the mountain.
Look, he's going this way.
Gabi noted, and hurried to catch up with them. Suddenly, the chaperone walked right through the water and under the waterfall.
ARE YOU SERIOUS?
She yelled breathlessly amongst the other exclamations.

I feel like a kid at a candy store.
Josh was hoping he could start right away.
Didn't I say it was gonna look like hogwarts?

Gabi tried to respond, but was speechless.

She muttered. Then she noticed the other walking in to the water too.

She whispered, and stepped into the water. But she felt nothing except an odd cooling sensation.

The magical water is what most people know as lighter fluid. Ah, FMA. Great series. Now that we have that covered... the water.
He sighed, and walked into it.

Lyric sighed and followed suit. This wasn't what she was really expecting, but she had to do it anyways.

Gasoline does not cause or generate any heat, friction, or spark. It is a medium for the heat to travel and expand into.
Gabi said, exasperated. She was about to go under the waterfall.

She took a deep breath and ducked under the falls.

Gabi gasped too. They were facing a set of absolutely huge double doors. Around them were many Latin words, carvings, and swirls. The door featured a chiseled picture of four monsters and four humans fighting; each emitting an Element.
Wow.
She breathed, and walked forward, but caught herself.
The Armageddon.

Josh wondered how to open the door. He suddenly heard a
loud booming voice.

The voice came from inside the door.
Welcome to the Academy. This is the entrance that you shall use when you go down from the castle. The school is not only situated in the castle; the entire east side of the mountain is used. Enjoy your experience here while you learn to manipulate the Elements, gain social skills, and survival tactics.

The door burst open and light poured in from it. Inside, it was almost like a town. People bustled everywhere, around shops, stalls, small establishments, and sitting on benches. It was a huge cavern, but light seemed to emit from all sides.

Gabi said breathlessly.

Drew marveled at what he saw.
This... is amazing... And they fit this all inside a mountain? Whoa.

Luna's eyes grew wide.
This place is .. woah .. It's beautiful.
She smiled with excitment.

"Oh my God." Lyric had never seen such a place. She was blown away.

Josh walked forward a little and looked at all the people.
They look so calm and peaceful.

She said as they started moving throughout the cavern.

Luna jumped in excitment. But when she landed, she accidentaly manipulated the Earth around her, causing some small rocks falling on her head. "O-Ouch." She said rubbing her head. "I didn't think I was that heavy." She joked.

Josh chuckled with laughter.

Tom was the last one to walk through the waterfall. He was quite amazed at the town, but he still kept silent. He didn't know any of the other students. He walked up behind everyone else and just listened.

Luna turned around. She saw a boy she never met before.

She stuck her hand out. "I'm Luna, pleased to meet'cha." Luna looked at the boy. "What element do you do? I'm Earth."

Tom was surprised that someone was actually talking to him. He put his hand out and shook Luna's hand.
"Uh, hey, I'm Tom..." said Tom nervously. "And my element is fire."

Josh started to blush, he hated talking about his parents death.

We better get to the booming voice man's office.
Josh pointed at some stairs.

Tom approached the stairs, and started to go up.

As they were going up the stairs they saw marvelous things on each floor. They reached the top and Josh slowly walked over to knock on the huge door.

As Tom was walking up the stairs, he saw some crazy things, like animals jumping around, and talking. Another room had people controlling fire. With their foot!
"Must be hot." Tom said to himself, and chuckled.
