GAME TIME
Sunday, October 18
1:00PM EST

Last meeting:
Priest Holmes turned a screen pass into a 60-yard touchdown catch to lead the Chiefs past the Redskins, 28-21, in Week 6 of the 2005 season.

Streaks:
The Chiefs have dominated this matchup, owning a 6-1 overall series edge.

Last week:
Carolina got its first victory of the season by rallying past Washington, 20-17. ... The Chiefs forced overtime with a late touchdown, but lost in the extra session, 26-20, when Miles Austin scored the winning touchdown for the Cowboys.

Keep your eye on ...

The effectiveness of Washington's offensive line: The Redskins already lost starting right guard Randy Thomas to a season-ending injury and now they will be without Pro Bowl left tackle Chris Samuels Sunday due to a neck injury. Mike Williams -- who has not started a game since 2005 until last week -- steps in at right tackle and Stephon Heyer moves to the left side.

Jim Zorn's handle on his team: With questions coming every week about Zorn's job security, this is a difficult time for the second-year Redskins coach. Though players have publicly supported him thus far, he needs to start winning quickly, or the turmoil surrounding the team could spiral out of control.

Glenn Dorsey's coming out party: Kansas City took Dorsey with the fifth overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft expecting he would be a difference-maker on the defensive line. In 21 career starts, however, Dorsey has just one sack. He may never get a better chance to put up some numbers than he will against the Redskins and their banged up offensive line this Sunday.

Did you know?

Chiefs LB Mike Vrabel recorded his 11th career touchdown catch last week. ... Kansas City QB Matt Cassel is going for his fourth straight game with two touchdown passes. ... When RB Clinton Portis rushes for 100-plus yards, his teams are 33-10. Redskins WR Santana Moss is averaging 15.3 yards per catch since 2001, which is the highest mark among active receivers (minimum 450 receptions).

Oh, wow. This game will be a high scoring game!

Not really. Hard pick..I'll have to go with the Chiefs, because they looked good against the Cowboys.

17-13, Chiefs.

RYAN SUCCOP WITH A GAME WINNING FIELD GOAL AS OVERTIME EXPIRES.
This is actually the first time that I'm going with what the capital letters say. I'm not expecting the Chiefs to win with a field goal, but they are surely going to beat the Redskins with the way they're playing.

The Skins have talent. But they don't always use it. The Chiefs are just strange. They played great last week, but failed in the past.

I am going with the Skins.
