GAME TIME
Sunday, October 11
1:00PM EST

Last meeting:
In a classic shootout that featured 938 total yards, the Cowboys outlasted the Chiefs, 31-28, in Week 14 of 2005.

Streaks:
Dallas has taken three of the last four meetings and has a 5-3 overall series edge.

Last week:
Tony Romo threw two straight incompletions into the end zone from the 2-yard line with a matter of seconds remaining as the Cowboys lost, 17-10, in Denver. ... Kansas City fell behind early and was unable to mount a comeback, falling 27-16 to the Giants.

Keep your eye on ...

Romo's accuracy: The star quarterback has come under fire in recent weeks and has completed only 57.6 percent of his passes with one touchdown and four interceptions in his past three games. The critics figure to grown even louder if Romo struggles against the Chiefs' 28th-ranked pass defense.

DeMarcus Ware's production: The Pro Bowl linebacker led the NFL with 20 sacks in 2008 and averaged 13 sacks a year over his first four seasons. This year, Ware has yet to tally a sack. There is no better time for him to break out than against the Chiefs, who have already surrendered 13 sacks this season (the third-highest total in the league).

Matt Cassel's comfort level: Though the Chiefs quarterback has thrown four touchdowns in the past two weeks, he has struggled to get the ball downfield. He is averaging an anemic 4.5 yards per pass attempt over the last two games and Kansas City is just 2-for-26 on third down. Those stats must improve if the Chiefs are to spring the upset against the Cowboys.

Did you know?

The Cowboys are 20-3 when Romo starts and has a 100-plus passer rating. ... Since 2004, Dallas' Jason Witten has 417 receptions, which is second most among tight ends. ... Chiefs RB Larry Johnson needs 244 rushing yards to surpass Priest Holmes (6,070) for the most in franchise history. ... Kansas City WR Bobby Wade aims for his third straight game with a touchdown catch.

MR. IRRELEVANT WITH A GAME-WINNING FIELD GOAL IN THE LAST FEW SECONDS...

Sadly, I wish that would happen, but I'm choosing the Cowboys. :(
