A rant about banning.

Not exactly a blind, extremely angry rant, But a startling thing suprised me earlier.

My main reason, was some guy bragging he beat me in a game of card Jitzu by hacking all the cards, and his "Pwnly" Red Lei. I reported him for lying and cheating. And guess what. The next day I see him again, bragging about how he got these with "storm".

I think its about time CP updates that form you click on to report people. It has been the same for almost 3 years, maybe since the start. It should be updated to include hacking. Lying and cheating isnt really specific.

Also, I think I know how to solve the filter issue. I dont mean to sound insulting, but CP should try to work a bit harder at banning people. Im pretty sure they wouldnt have to pay much to get atleast 2 live mods for each server.

I agree, they really need to update it. Wait a sec, lying and cheating were actually supposed to be used for hacking? Lol, I didn't know that.

I agree to that too, for the first 6 months or something they might wanna pay mods that work for CP, but after that they should appoint some responsible players(who have played for at least a year and have been watched for a while) to volunteer to watch CP. It's not like they could ban people, but their reports could be checked more thoroughly, and they could type in and description to specify why they were reporting someone.

I don't understand how lying and cheating are linked really, its a bit strage CP put the 2 together as lying is clearly the lesser of the 2 evils and cheating (hacking) is probably the worst.

Well, I'm pretty sure cheating is actually the correct term when it involves using programs to get around the normal limits of the game and getting game items in an unfair way. Many Club Penguin players think "cheats" are things like catalog secrets, revealed pin locations etc. but a more correct word would be "secrets".

About your live mod issue, the Club Penguin site claims that they do have live mods on at all times, although I do understand that cheaters often get away with what they do.

I don't see how you can hack Card-Jitzu. I only say they hack when they beat me on almost every move after having a short while choosing a card, but I just say it to express my stress.

You can't be "Good, Great, Amazing, The Legend Of..etc" at Card-Jitzu, it's not about Skill, more or less, chance.

I actually just got ahold of the CP team about the reporting system, and they told me that it does not matter what exactly you report the penguin for. When someone gets reported, the moderator sees the entire conversation going on in that specific room and they will ban whoever is breaking the rules.

You are correct.
They need to have one that says hacking, and lets you type in a full report BY HAND of what happened.
