Suggestions on how to Connect to XBL

I'm haven't been able to connect to XBL at my dad's house, and it's been annoying. I need suggestions. I already tried connecting the Xbox to a laptop, but that didn't work. Please don't suggest that I buy the wireless thing.

As far as I know you can't pass it through a computer that has internet. The Xbox must be directly connected to a router or modem.

So does your modem have more than one ethernet port. Or are you using something other than a modem like a prepaid USB drive; the prepaid sticks do not work with the Xbox

You have two choices:

1. Move your 360 by your router and plug it in.

or

2. Buy the wireless adapter.
