I can finally safely say that there are no more famous penguins on cp. Yes as a matter of fact I DO remember those days. Back in those days, everyone complained about too many people pretending to be famous and Mammoth being "too lame". We all wanted there to be no more of that. So now, there really isn't any of that. The only thing you can really complain about now is that members are not nice to non-members.

lol, it's true, it is for no apparent reason, I just don't like Disney's updates. I don't get the point of the forest, but, when I made the post, I didn't really think of why.

So, Take out forest and cove, I don't HATE them, I just don't use them...

I hate those rooms to. The new dojo is just terrible, it was way better as a secret, empty room with no music and no courtyard. I think there is no point really for the stage, I liked it better when it was just tables there. And I'm not the biggest fan of the ninjas either. And yes the filters are the worst filters ever.

It's disney, all the younger kids see advertisements and play CP.... Thus, the filter is changed to keep 7 year olds from talking, pretty much. I'm 13, and if CP was different, I'd love it. I love playing with my friends, and having parties. But all my friends quit because of Disney.

The original Club Penguin was losing money and needed a breakthrough, they actually agreed that they needed Disney's help to keep the game running (Servers, taxes ect.).

If this is what you mean by "the good old days" then I prefer the nowadays. Nowadays, people tend to be popular by actual things they do--Like blogs,and videos--as appose to just because they happened to be playing cp at a certain time.

I think Disney probably did attract a lot of younger, more immature users to CP through advertising on that awful excuse for entertainment they call Disney channel. It's not impossible that those new users led to stricter filters. However, this must be helping CP (the company, not the actual game) a lot. I'm not sure why but ever since Disney bought CP, the game has been slowly going downhill. Some of you probably really like the new CP. It's your opinion. I'm not saying that you should prefer the old version if you don't want to.

Yea, there was way more than 10% of cp being members, in fact, it was kind of like now, with less people, less noobs, and a filter we could work with, that let us use numbers, and punctuation (I like doing my sentences correctly).

Taking out numbers and punctuations was one of the worse things they have done, at least for me. I like to use correct grammar (dunno why) and be able to say "Halloween Party at Thomas Pc's on the map!" and not have it filtered because my name is Thomas or Pc...

I desperately want to play CP and get the full experiance of the game, I love having parties, getting my igloo full, taking video for youtube, dancing, doing activities, etc. without having trouble talking about it.

Those are my thoughts on it... Unfortunetly, CP won't listen to us, and I have to play other online games...

Club Penguin was the first online, multiplayer, computer game I ever played. I started May 20th 2006, when I was 10. I've been playing for almost 3 and a half years, and most of you guys on the forums have been playing that long, if not longer, and probably feel the same way, but it's not my place to say that.

I was playing CP since January 07, and stopped being noobish around march. I saw nothing wrong with the cove and forest, people saw a need for somewhere to swim, and the beach was kinda small. The forest was just a path to there. I dont see why you hate them. Now, Disney bought CP on August 1st, and the Stage went under construction in early november. High school musical comes out on August 17th. Coincedence? I dont think so. It takes between 2-3 months to completely make a room right? And trust me, CP was definatly not in any finacial trouble. If they were, why didnt they just slap membership advertisments all over CP then?

But, I don't really see any difference between now and before Disney bought it out. If anything it's gotten more publicity for the game. The servers are a bit annoying, but you get used to it. So, I only really miss the life I had, not the game so much. The game is still as fun as it was before.

I really don't see why people are all angry and uptight about Disney buying them out, the original staff still controls it somewhat, I'm sure. They're just in a partnership. You all seem to think the "problems" we have now come from them combining. They're not. It's just what they've said will happen. Items will come back, and such. I guess people are upset because, as I mentioned before, CP doesn't seem to care as much anymore. That kind of makes sense because if they're still getting plenty of money from Disney, toys Disney helps them make, a flood of new users who don't know what the game used to be, (and also watch Disney channel, so they must have pretty low expectations lol) etc. it doesn't matter to them if they loose their old users because there's plenty of other kids who are still going to play. What I'm trying to say is that if there will always be more users and they're all okay with CP as it is now, it doesn't matter if they don't put as much work into things. Those kids are still going to like it. If they don't and some of them quit, no worries, a whole bunch of new kids will come pouring in thanks to Disney. It's nice that they have more money to pay their staff and things like that but I don't think that means they should give up on doing their best. Sure, there are more rooms now with the new CP, which I like, but it seems like most of the updates are crappy now.

I don't know. If CP wants to keep doing things the way they've been doing them recently, that's their business. All I'm saying is that it's kind of sad how a company can change like that. Oh well, that's the way the world works.

Club Penguin was a lot simpler back in 06 and 07. Now there is a lot more things to do in the game. I believe Club Penguin has changed for the better. If Club Penguin never changed the game probably would have got repetitive. Club Penguin in my opinion has always been great though.:)

Clubpenguin is improved now. I do miss the old time, hangin out with some old buddies and stuff, but really you guys are going to complain about all the great new stuff Clubpenguin has. I don't agree with the toy items, and all the noobs going around saying their famous and stuff, but overall new Clubpenguin blows old Clubpenguin out of the water. There is way more stuff to do now then back in the day. All I'm saying is old Clubpenguin was welcoming and enjoyably, but this new one has everything we've always wanted and more don't deny it. Now old CP is just a memory, It isn't going to come back so let it be. The game is just getting more improved and stuff, and I am glad to see that CP is still kicking after what almost 4 years.

And there you go...It's a lot harder than just getting a random item then waiting a year and becoming famous.

As for how people act...Well, fame can really go to people's head, but it's not all video people, and it's not only video people. If a video person does do it, before they made videos they were probably those penguins who thought that they were too cool for everyone--Then they became famous and a bunch of people acted like those people were cooler than them which encouraged it more...

First off calling your self rare in like saying you have no friends and all you do is play clubpenguin. Yes, i do remember these day i remember when people used to talk to you because they were nice, now you have to have this certain item or this certain pin. I will never forget these day. Yes, we all miss the old days, (2005-2006). CP has come along way from there. Yes, the stage I'm not a huge fan of. It just sorta sits there, and does nothing. Simple CP is gone. We can't really bring it back. Famous penguins, there aren't really alot anymore, as most of them got older and bored of CP. I also miss when there was no lag, when it ran well on my older computer. Now, it runs like garbage. Every server you go to is full. I just want the old server picking way back. Also, im not a huge fan of the catalogs anymore. They aren't simple.

We are true CP members we were on BEFORE disney and flilters meaning that you cant even say a time easily

It's not so much the time in CP that I miss... it's the time in my life I miss. So I guess that I do miss the old days, in that aspect. Other than that CP's just gotten bigger, and changed things. It's not about being popular, it's about making friends. That's the whole thing with Club Penguin.

I miss it so much, everything from the halloween party 2006 and before were the best times. Heres why I enjoyed it:

-Less free items (so you wouldn't see loads of penguins wearing every item they own, just their favourite one)
-Membership was cool because less people had it
-Less crowded
-Real life friends played often
-Genuinly more fun because of age
-Free items were great and wern't repeats
-Filters didn't block everything

And that's it, all those things are what made it fun for me, after that it just stopped being fun so my friends stopped playing and so did I.

I got permanently banned in 2007 because of my sisters, and a quick e-mail to Club Penguin fixed that. These days I don't think you can get unbanned that way though. ;(

It depends how serious the offense was for example if you swore you could just e-mail them saying it was a typo and i know that works.

I think people talk about the old days so much they make it out to be better than it really was. Sure we had some great times but i don't think that much has changed and i am still having great times.
