View Full Version : Why are members so mean? Here are the answers.

First of, members are mean because they think they're cool.Especially famous members with blogs or others. They're always mean to non-members! That's what I'm sick of.I'm only a fan on famous non-members like Mimo777. Unlike those members who like to give or who are your friends before they are members. That's why I make friends with whoever I met or helped me.

Here are some MAIN reasons why they are mean/rude to non-members.

1. Think they are cool, because they're paying penguins.
2. Members always get to be buddies with famous penguins. (famous people are like that)
3. Just because they pay, they get V.I.P access around the island, doesn't mean they need to be rude!
4. They are friends with famous members, get the crowd, push away all the non-members.
5. They're always showing-off to noobs and non-members.

Not all members are mean. You can't just judge how every member is by seeing a few. Hundreds and thousands of kids do play this website, and not all of them are mean. Whenever there is a mean member or even non member, just simply ignore them and report them. You don't even have to bother with them. It's just a pixel.

Yes I know. But it's just that most of the members are always mean to non-members and pushing aside them. All they want is attention, attention and attention. They're not mean to other members, just the non-members.

Not true. My penguin is old and most of my buddies are nonmembers.

I wouldn't be so sure about what your saying. Im a somewhat older CP non-member (2006), and was a Member for a year. Most of my buddies were, and still are, non-members. I didn't push them aside. I helped them, made some great new friends, and just had an all around great time. Thats what CP is about. Not about being mean to non-members.

Just like any other group, you can't stereotype members.

and you can't push anyone in club penguin, these little birds are transparent or something!

What I think one of the main reasons are is because of their igloo, if they have a cool igloo to hang out in everyone will want to be your friend, if your a non member you only have a basic igloo, nothing special.

You know your being rude/hateful by judging Members. Not all members are "evil." Mimo777 is and most likely has a side account that is a member, so he is a member. I do not thinking I am cool, if I do it's because I am HELPING Club Penguin survive in bills and etc. VIP is a prime example of number 2. I am not friends with Katy Perry and Lady Gaga, because I never have met them. To met them I mostly likely would have to be a VIP or a close friend to a close friend. We are not rude, look who is typing a hate thread. ;)
1 and 4 are the same statement. Almost all of Club Penguin is members, so how can they show off?

Yes I know. But it's just that most of the members are always mean to non-members and pushing aside them. All they want is attention, attention and attention. They're not mean to other members, just the non-members.

This thread to catch the Attention of people just to say Members get to much attention. Oh god forgive us if members get a special room and met a penguin just because they pay. Oh God No!

I don't mean the real push, what I meant was like ignoring them when they send you postcards or buddy requests.

Some people do not want to be friends with random strangers. You know what I mean?

First off, non-members are whiny because they don't want to buy a six dollar card. Especially famous non-members with blogs or others. They're always whining about how people who buy six dollar cards are mean! That's what I'm sick of. I'm only a fan of other whiny noobs like (Insert name here). Unlike those members who like to give out random friend invites to everybody they see. That's why I make friends with whoever I met or helped me.

Here are some MAIN reasons why they are mean/rude to members.

1. They're stereotypical, just by seeing ones behavior they'll judge the rest.
2. Being a non-member decreases the chance of making friends with famous penguins for no reason.
3. Just because we pay six dollars and fund the game to keep the servers running and allow Club Penguin to make money, they get V.I.P access around the island, doesn't mean we can't be stereotypical!
4. They have an equal chance as non-members to become friends with a famous penguin.
5. They're always complaining about how they don't want to buy a six dollar card.

I took your post, copied it to Microsoft Word and managed to format it into proper English. Your
argument is now invalid.

I'm just going to try replying to each one of your points to see if I agree with anything that you've said.

1. Some snobby nine-year-olds might think they are really cool because they have memberships, but the more mature users (ie: in this community) are not usually like that.

2. That's not really true; 'famous' players don't have any more buddy slots than everyone else, so they have to pick and chose who they want on their list. I don't think members have any greater of a chance of being buddies with famous players. The best chance someone has of buddying a famous player is actually knowing that person on a site/forum.

3. I think I'm sort of addressing the "rude" thing in my responses collectively.

4. Members don't automatically get crowds around them and are not automatically friends with 'famous' players. Usually they only shun non-members if those non-members are pestering them and/or continuously trying to add them as buddies.

5. See my 1st response.

I find this topic a disgusting stereotype.

I guess I only add members because SOME PERSON SAYS I'M LIKE THAT.
And I guess your not a fan of me just because I'm a member. This topic basically says EVERY member is the same!!!! I am in no way like this yet you say that I am? I don't care if it says nobody from MCCP is like this, there are so many nice members.

I don't mean the real push, what I meant was like ignoring them when they send you postcards or buddy requests.

When I get postcards and buddy requests from people I ACTUALLY talk to, and have met before (and are nice), I say yes. If they are just some random person who just sent you a request or a postcard for no reason, and have never talked to you, I say no.

This member/non-member feud wonŽt end if you keep posting topics about it..

Stereotyping - something without the world won`t exist.

And, just 100- people here play CP. So, yes, you could say that every member is the same.

mhm....
Not all members are bad you know... It's mostly the immature, newbie (not noob, there's a difference), kids under 9 years old...

I was just on CP (I sat down in the plaza, that's it.... >.<) and some random naked, pink penguin came up to the creepy member and put a heart. And he says 'I only like members'

A member comes up and does a heart and says 'Im a member' and he says 'okay. my igloo'

To tell you the truth, in experiance with most of the kid members (kid as in 9 and under) are spoiled and want Club Penguin to be a roleplaying game.......

Why are Non-Members so misunderstanding? Here are the answers.

1. Club Penguin Needs Money to Run, and what other way to do it my giving penguins extras for a small amount of money?
2. I would stand for a 1 day only, then never again all-membership day.
3. There's barely anything to do as a member anymore.
4. See 1
5. See 3

The way your post is written is extremely annoying. You cannot judge members, and proclaim that they "are so mean", based on the fact that a few of them show off. A better title for your post would be "Why are some members so mean?". I happen to be a member, and I have never purposefully showed off in Club Penguin, nor do I think I am particularly "cool". Let's look at your post bit by bit, shall we, and see how flawed it is?

First of, members are mean because they think they're cool.

I disagree. Some members may be mean, but you cannot say "members are mean ...", because not all members are mean. You are implying that you think all members are mean, which is simply not true (this is also something to further imply later on). Also, as a side point, there may be plenty of other reasons why the members who are mean behave in this way.

Especially famous members with blogs or others.

Keep in mind that the vast, vast majority of members do not have blogs. There are millions of members in Club Penguin, and the blogging websites wouldn't have enough space for them to all have blogs. Even for 10% of members to have blogs would be ridiculous.

They're always mean to non-members! That's what I'm sick of.

This time it is not an implication, but a full statement: "They're always mean to non-members!". This is not at all true. Membership may give penguins one more reason to show off and possibly be mean and differentiate between themselves and others, but actually, few members have this kind of mentality (forget ALL of them).

I'm going to say it again: they don't all think that they're cool! In any case, being paying penguins does give them the right to feel slightly different from non-paying penguins. After all, no one can say that they don't deserve to play Club Penguin (because they pay).
There seems to be resentment in that line. You sound like you're whining. Do you think Club Penguin should remove membership just because members get to be buddies with famous penguins? And in any case, why should it matter to you who is a buddy with a "famous penguin"? They aren't different to normal penguins; just the few pixels in their names don't change anything. Finally, you should also remember that very few members are friends with "famous penguins". At least 20% of the Club Penguin population is members, and so they can't all be friends with famous penguins. You must be joking. In any case, if the famous penguins have this attitude of partiality, shouldn't you be directing your attitude of anger to them?
How many times do I need to reiterate that few members are rude because they are members? Those that do aren't likeable, but you shouldn't accuse all members of this trait.
"Friends with all the famous members". Read Point 3. "Get all the crowd." Once again, you must be joking. You feel resentment towards them just because people crowd around them? That is a highly materialistic view. People are allowed to act how they want, generally, as long as they are not affecting others, and crowding around them is not doing anything bad to them. Shouldn't you be angry at the crowd of people, rather than the member who may not even want to be crowded? Anyway, few members actually get crowded, and those who do don't get crowded because they are members, but because they are famous in some way or another for some reason. Once again, it isn't possible for 20% of the population to get crowded. :O "Push away all the non-members". Personally, in my rather long experience of Club Penguin, I have rarely seen members (in person) detaching themselves from a non-member just because they are a member (I have, however, seen plenty of pictures of people doing just that on these forums).
They are certainly not "always showing off" to noobs and non-members. I have not purposely shown off on Club Penguin in my life, and I suspect that there are plenty of others who have not either.

Try becoming a member, okay? You're view that they are a different sect of people who act in a totally different manner to non-members is flawed. You'll soon see how wrong your post is, if you try becoming a member. To be honest, I am not sure why no one has taken the time yet to go through your post like me, but anyway, the job's done. I hope you see where you're wrong. ;)

Mimo777 would have better effect on people if he was a member, because when they see that he`s non-member, they go as most people go on non-faked videos in Youtube(or the "FAKE! FAKE! Agreed. More good reasoning.

Just to clarify for others who misinterpreted this post (e.g. Tolni), the above post by Leader indicates that "If Mimo777 became a member, teohkay would remove him from his buddy list because he believes that all members are mean and rude" (despite his (i.e. teohkay's, not necessarily Leader's) previous experiences suggesting that Mimo777 was a nice person and worth adding to his buddy list. That doesn't actually suggest that Leader cares at all for Mimo777, it just states that teohkay's view of members in general suggests that if Mimo777 became a member, teohkay would call him mean and rude simply because of that (despite having evidence to the contrary).

I will willingly admit that this didn't occur to me, but I suppose it's just more reasoning why this thread is flawed.

What's the point in this thread? It's just a penguin game, relax.

Wanna know why 95% members are so mean? It's because in real life they get bullied, so they want to fill the void in there life by bullying somebody else in a virtual internet game. They think there cool because they waste 5 bucks a month on a Pixel game.
