This year isn't the Lakers year. They already have more losses than last year and the season isn't over. Last years team in my opinion was worse, but it doesn't look that way looking at the records for last season and this season.
If the Lakers mkae the playoffs this is who they will be playing depending on their seed:
#6 seed SA Spurs
#7 seed PHX Suns
#8 seed DAL Mavs.
Right now they are the #7 seed and would be facing PHX again if the playoffs started today. There are 5 or 6 games left in the seasons, so the lakers have to win 2-3 more to stay in the playoffs. The Lakers are 1.5 ames behind DEN for the #6 seed, and 2 games ahead of GS who has the #8 seed.
Hope LA goes far this year!
GO LAKERS!
