MCCP'S FUNNIEST VIDEOS!
The Idea
I had an idea that the forumers of MCCP could have a laugh. And they could have it if I won this uPick contest. You probably have seen America's Funniest Videos, where some of the videos you nearly peed your pants, while other videos you went up to go to the bathroom even though you didn't need to go. That's the point. Forumers can have their laugh by submitting, voting, judging, and watching other people's videos.
Entering
If this is made into a subforum, you would enter by posting into an pinned topic that states your username and that you would like to enter MCCPFV. You MUST enter every week on Friday by 11:30 PM EST. If you do not, you will be automatically disqualified from the competition, and you wouldn't want that. The point is to try to make your funniest home video possible. Of you, your pet, your siblings, anything! Anything that you find would be ROFL-worthy. Otherwise don't bother.
Voting
Once again, if this is made into a subforum, each participant would create a topic stating what the title of their video is. They will post a YouTube video of their funny video, and if people like it, they simply post in the topic saying, "Vote." Votes would be counted up, and the results would be posted in a pinned thread for Results every Saturday night at 8. You can't just vote for your friend, because if they end up winning even if they aren't funny, then that wouldn't be fair. One vote per member. Voting will start when it's down to 20 members.
Judging
There will be three judges. They will judge and their opinion will only count until there are 20 members that are participating. They watch each video, and together they will decide via MSN, AIM, YIM, E-Mail, etc. who will be eliminated. Two people will be eliminated per round. If a judge is unhappy about the decision but it is 2 vs. 1, it is only fair that the person stays/is eliminated. The first three to ask to judge get to judge. You must have at least 100 posts to judge, though.
Winners
There will be prizes for the top three contestants. The second runner-up will get a customizable member title for 6 months. First runner-up will get a customizable member title for one year, and a cool badge that says something like, "I got 2nd place in MCCP's Funniest Videos!" The first prize winner gets the jackpot of a cool badge that says "Yeah, I won MCCP's Funniest Home Videos!" a customizable member title forever (But if that's not okay, then for 2 years), they will be known as MCCP's funniest member, a free avatar and signature, and possibly have their name changed to a custom color that isn't orange or green.
Eligibility
To be a participant:
- You must have at least 50 posts
- Video camera and good audio quality
- A YouTube account
- You must be active!
To be a judge:
- You must have at least 100 posts
- Be able to watch many YouTube videos all the way through without exiting halfway through
- Active!
- Honest and reliable
- Agreeable
In conclusion...
Every Friday at 8 contestants will post their funny videos. Judges will rate them and eliminate two per round. The results are announced Saturdays at 8. Judges will be judges until there are 20 contestants left. Members can then vote for their favorite contestants. I hope that you all like my idea so we can all have a good laugh. :]
