Can you really get banned for reporting someone for no reason?

Well im wondering if you really get banned for reporting somebody for no reason. My friend reported a bunch of people for no reason and he never got banned. What are your thoughts on this?

I Don't think it's true, I reported about 50 people on my bad file, and nothing happened. I don't think CP Staff is that mean. Because maybe they think just little kinds are reporting for no reason.

I doubt it. I think it is just a rumor. I don't think that if you report someone they would report you. That would be kind of mean. Probably just a rumor.

I have never reported anyone or put anyone on my ignore list ever. I've never needed to. I'm usually a helper in Club Penguin.

People reporting for no reason backs up the report system and makes it take longer for them to sort through the real reports. I think that making people think that they can be banned for it is a good thing because people shouldn't be reporting for no reason anyway. Even if it is an empty threat. Club Penguin can't take actiuon against fake reports becuse they can't be sure that they didn't miss what you reported for or some other sort of misunderstanding. I know for things like trading accounts that there is no button for it so you just report them for something like cheating. So CP can't know for sure that you were just fooling around.


In conclusion, reporting for no reason makes the CP mod's like miserable. If you want quality modding than refrain from reporting without reason and don't let people who would report for no reason know that they can.

Anytime a penguin is reported by another player, an actual report is generated and submitted to our moderating center.

Penguin's are not banned for reporting another player without valid reson.

Every single report is read manually by a moderator. If you have reported someone who has done nothing wrong, the moderators will see this. Reports contain a lot of information for our moderators, including a conversation log of all things said within the vacinity of the penguin account that was reported.

Please do not penguin's without valid reason. The more reports generated, the longer it takes us to get to the reports that are against penguin's that have done something really bad - such as swearing, bullying or using a third party program to alter the game.

If a penguin has done something wrong or broken one of the rules, please report he/she right away! In a situation like that, you would be helping Club Penguin by reporting players that break the rules. If you have reported someone, please note that it could take a few hours before a moderator can review the report. This means the penguin you reported may not be banned right away. It also means you can be banned for something you did 8 hours ago.

Please follow the rules and report penguins only if they have done something that is inappropriate or not allowed in Club Penguin.
