In May 2009, a panel of well-known Miniclip Club Penguin personalities came to together to begin judging the first ever forum-wide talent contest.
Thousands enter. Only one will be crowned your MCCP Idol.
As Friday comes to a close, we find our judges ready for the long week ahead of them. When the light turns on, it's show time. How will you impress our panel of judges?
[ INTRODUCTION ]
MCCP Idol was established on May 22, 2009 by the user known as Spem. Unlike the "American Idol" we've all come to know, love, hate, and some despise, this competition focuses more on pure talent. It could be singing, dancing, juggling, even throwing a basketball in a hoop!
When asked about the competition after his press conference, Spem had this to say, "It's a great way to show the entire community, and fresh newcomers to MCCP that we love more than just penguins here. We also have a vast amount of knowledge and talent."
[ HOW IT WORKS ]
Forumers will upload their audition's via YouTube. A panel of three judges will watch every single audition and establish the top 25 forumers. These lucky forumers are another step closer to achieving a huge goal. Whenever twenty-five forumers are chosen, we will enter "Selection Week". Selection Week is whenever those who made it past the first round can decide any topic and basically any talent they desire, much like the auditions. Following that week, only 12 will remain. This time, the judges will administer a specific talent for each upcoming week. The talents chosen will be completely random, but contestants are urged to try their very best. If a forumer fails to complete their video of their talent for that week, they will be disqualified and everyone else will be safe for another week.
Every week, in the Top 12, one person is voted off by the audience via posts. Once it gets down to the Top 3 finalists, there will be two talents they must perform. One of them will be chosen by the judges, and one by themselves. This process is the same for the Finale. During the Finale, a look-back video of past auditions will be presented.
[ VOTING ]
If this game is made into a subforum, you can post in each weeks respectable thread whom you would like to see go through. You will only be allowed to post once in that thread. Several other threads will be open for discussion and suggestions. It's quite simple really. The person/people with the lowest number of votes are out of the competition.
[ WHAT YOU NEED ]
To qualify for MCCP Idol, you will need the following:
A Video Camera/ Audio Recording Device
A Youtube Account
25 or more posts on the MCCP Forums
If you do not have a video camera, ask a friend or someone to film you!
[ Summing It All Up ]
This is basically my idea. It's more like a talent show, but I don't thing "MCCP has Talent" makes a good title. Hopefully you guys will like it and I really hope we can make this work. If it's not chosen, there's a possible chance it will be created in the MCCP-TV Subforum, however a subforum for it alone would make organizing and communication a lot easier.
If this is not chosen, then I might try to create this sometime during the middle of summer. Maybe after Otakon in Baltimore.
Please let me know what you think.
More information will be available if this is chosen.
Any questions feel free to post!
