I wana talk about the membership. I don't like membership because some children can't take membership. They aren't rich. If I would choose I will remove the membership and allow all users to buy clothes, furniture etc.:(

Here are the main reasons why we need membership:

The 2 main reasons we have a paid membership option in Club Penguin are as follows:
1. There is a large staff of creators and support staff who work hard to create a safe and fun environment for children to play on.
2. The cost of the ISP's(Internet service providers) that run Club Penguin are expensive.
With this said, Club Penguin cannot exist without the financial support of the paying members of the site.

That is why we need membership.
It cant change.
Im a non-member but im getting used to it.You should be greatful you get a free 3d world to play in.Also we recieve free items.

CLub Penguin needs the membership to both keep the game and servers up (including updates), and to pay it's employees. It also pays a portion of each membership to childrens charities.

Its 3.30 pound (my keyboard dont type pound sign) for a membership, thats awsome for monthly. And if there was no membership this game wouldnt exzist cause New Horrisons Inc. Will cancel there music, Mods will go on strike and the website will have adds everywhere. See now?

Like everyone else said in this thread, this is why we cant get free membership.

1. Cp needs to pay people.
2.They donate part of the money anyways.

5.97 is technically 6.00. I mean, there's only a 3 cent difference between them. Besides, you still have to pay tax. And in Canadian currency, that's 7.00!

I think they make membership because, they do it for donations so every dollar you pay for member the more you people you help!:D ;)

More than enough people have replied to this, and they're right. Club Penguin wouldn't exist without memberships. Servers do cost a lot.

However, we know that there are people who can't pay, which is why there are so many features of CP that are available to everyone. Hopefully, everyone can still enjoy Club Penguin, even if they can't do everything on it.
