Episode 01 - "Food (Pilot)": INSTRUCTIONS & SUBMISSIONS

It's pilot time! That's TV lingo for "first episode let's hope everyone doesn't thinks it sucks". Here's what we're going to do for the first episode - food. Your mission is to create a film about food, it can be anything you want as long as it's food related. You can cook food, eat food, smash food, make a song about your favorite food, or even do impressions of things from Food Network if that's your thing. The bottom line - it needs to be about food.

THE SPECIFICS
Theme: Food
Length: 1 to 3 minutes (please try to not go over)
Accepted Formats: WMV, MPEG, MOV, AVI
Deadline: Wednesday April 22nd

HOW TO SUBMIT
You have a week and a half to create your submission. Once you are done, email a download link to your video to Dracophile (see signature for email address). Don't post links to your downloads in this thread, otherwise everyone's going to see it.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR SUBMISSION EMAIL
- The video (duh!)
- List of everyone involved in the production of it and what they did

Would a claymation of someone cooking food, then someone else stealing in be okay?

It has to be 1-3 minutes, that is a universal rule for everyone.

That's fine, I don't want to stifle anyone's creativity so just as long as it has "food" as the main idea of your video it's fine.

You can choose to credit owners of props if you like but it's not required.

Honestly thus far I haven't gotten any submissions yet, which is understandable since this has only been posted for a few days. If the deadline comes up and I don't really have anything to make a show out of I'll postpone the deadline. I'm actively looking for AT LEAST 10 submissions before I wrap them all up into a show.

What kinds of videos can I make?
ANYTHING GOES. I'll accept animations, filmed video, voiceovers/chops, anything. The only UNIVERSAL requirements for submissions are 1-3 minutes long, video with audio/narration (no ten second Pivot animations), and at least some form of production value. Please do not include openings or credits to submissions - credits will be rolled all at once with proper credit given at the end of the episode. Openings will be trimmed off. You are more than welcome to edit and add effects to make your video as you see fit, just no openings or credits.

If your opening is just a few second title card that says the name of your short then that's fine, but for "openings" I was talking about long drawn out things that take a minute to do, like the Wallbangers opening which is like a minute long.

I'll give some leeway just because this is the first episode and 10 seconds isn't too drastic of an amount.

I've extended the deadline an extra week to the 22nd. We had something like 22 people vote they could submit something and only 4 so far have.

To the 4 who submitted I have not had a chance to review the videos, I will hopefully get to that this weekend.
