In this thread I'll go over a brief introduction to some basic positions in a TV/movie crew to give you an idea of how to credit people or how you can develop a team of people to make films with:

Director: The director is generally the person who is in charge of the whole project and tells the other members what they should be doing. Sometimes the director has other jobs with the video himself.

Executive Producer / Producer: The exec producer (and just producers) are the people who are paying for the show. Usually with small productions you won't have to worry about paying to make things.

Writer: Writers are the people who make the show funny and come up with all of the ideas. Simple enough.

Actor: Actors, of course, are the brave individuals who get in front of the camera and make your creation happen. They put it all to work and make your show a show.

Voice Talent: Voice talents are the folks who play whichever animated characters in your show. They star in your video by voice, not by acting of course. They are credited just like actors.

Animator: The animator usually shows up solely in animated productions, however in videos that have a lot of custom effects animators make make an appearance as well. They're the guys who draw out or create anything animated or CG on the screen.

Post Production / Editing: The editor is the person who takes your sound effects and your footage and puts it all together into your final production complete from start to finish.

There are other positions as well, but these are the most common. If your project has something special going on and someone needs to be credited for a specific job then feel free to include it.
