Not exactly, we already have steam for that.

Let me put it this way, it allows you to run Crysis on a low-end laptop (something they showed in the tech demo), because your computer isn't the one doing the processing.

Yes, they said they'll think it'll be around the same cost as x-box live, but considering what you get that's not a lot.

You'll also probably get some "free months" whenever you buy the micro console or sign up for their service.
