SASKATOON, Saskatchewan (Reuters) – Six high-risk prisoners escaped a Canadian jail last summer after spending four months chipping a path to freedom with nail clippers and other makeshift tools, according to a government report released on Thursday.

It sounds like these prisoners really knew what they were doing.
Shows what you can do with a little ingenuity, they apparently used several common household items.
I was surprised the guards failed to notice, I imagine a few men ramming a stone wall with a shower rod would be very noticeable even if there was something impeding your view.
