SASKATOON, Saskatchewan (Reuters) – Six high-risk prisoners escaped a Canadian jail last summer after spending four months chipping a path to freedom with nail clippers and other makeshift tools, according to a government report released on Thursday.

It sounds like these prisoners really knew what they were doing.

Shows what you can do with a little ingenuity, they apparently used several common household items.

I was surprised the guards failed to notice, I imagine a few men ramming a stone wall with a shower rod would be very noticeable even if there was something impeding your view.

What a unique way to get out of jail.

Those men must of hid it very well. In most cases that I've seen on televison the Police catch the fugitives when they are in the planning stages or they are just starting to make there way out. Anyway, that is still amazing that they used nail clippers too.

Creative. You can't trust a criminal with anything nowadays. Nail clippers = freedom.

Don't drop the soap.

I wouldn't even trust a prisoner with a speck of dust.

Why are criminals dumb enough to get in jail, but smart enough to get out?
