As with any forum, this forum has it's own special set of guidelines that we (the staff) expect you to conform to. Please follow these rules so everyone can enjoy reading the World News. :)
All Forum Rules apply.
R-E-S-P-E-C-T
Although you may not agree with someone's opinion on a subject doesn't mean you can let all of your fury out on them. Respect everyone's opinion and they'll respect yours and we'll have no problems.
Search! Search! Search!
Use the forum search before you make a thread to ensure that the news story you are about to post has not already been posted.
Fake News
This forum is for actual news, not Onion News stories or videos or any other type of fake news. Fake news doesn't allow much room for discussion and debate, if any. If you want to post fake news do so in the Jokes & Funny Stuff forum.
Don't post full stories
Just post the first few paragraphs of a story. Just enough of the article where the reader can understand what the article is about. Include a full story link to the original article.
Recent Events
Yeah, there has been some interesting news in the past, but news is a report of recent events. News would be considered old after about 5 weeks since it was originally released. Try to keep it recent.
Only the good stuff!
Post news articles that you think people would actually find interesting. News on the robbery on the 1800 block of your city isn't interesting. Post something that people can relate too.
Popular News Websites
Want to get in on the good news? We recommend you get your stories from sites like these:
- CNN (CNN.com (http://cnn.com)) Recommended!
- MSNBC (MSNBC.com (http://msnbc.com))
- BBC (BBC.co.uk (http://www.bbc.co.uk))
- FOX News (FOXNews.com (http://foxnews.com))
- ABC News (ABCNews.com (http://abcnews.go.com/))
- CBS News (CBSNews.com (http://cbsnews.com))

- Yahoo! News (YahooNews.com (http://news.yahoo.com/))
- Google News (News.Google.com (http://news.google.com))
- TIME (TIME.com (http://time.com))
If you can follow these fairly simple set of guidelines then you are set to enjoy reading the WORLD NEWS! Staff are welcome to chime in if they wish to add anything.
