The Academy

Lets try and save the rp section, people!

~Plot~
The Frankenstron Academy, known as The Academy for short is a school for out of the ordinary kids. Usually the kids are genius's who feel bored at school and therefore muck around. The Academy is the last resort for some kids, but its no ordinary school. For instance, you don't do ordinary subjects, there are no punishments, you pretty much do whatever you want, and the fact that every student can control a different element and that the school wishes to harvest their powers for it's own evil purposes. So this year, as usual, the fifty or so new students arrive. But some of this years group is different, they realise something is going on.... and will do anything to stop it. The kids do not know that they have powers, they will find out when I deem it the right time.

~Powers~
Air: Flight, wind attacks, can control air and wind.
Water: Can breath underwater, water attacks, can control liquids and ice.
Earth: Can move earth, earth attacks, can control anything made of metal or stone/earth.
Fire: Cannot get burnt, fire attack, can control fire/make things go hot.
Shadow: Can turn invisible, makes shadows attack things, can control darkness.
Telekenisis: Can read minds, mind attacks, can control thoughts/people.
Animal: Can talk to animals, makes animals attack, can control plants/animals.

Jana went and talked to the person at the main office. They gave her her room number, room 36. She decided to walk around the school, not really knowing what to do next.

Dwayne had just settled down with a good book under a tree, as it was hot, when an announcement came over the loudspeaker for all the new kids to progress to Lecture Theatre 3. 'Perfect. I'll never finish this book while I'm here.' And with that, he walked over to thw lecture theatre.

Dani abondoned her search and grabbed her jacket, she walked over to the lecture theatre, and sat down, she started listening to the boring welcome speech

Dwayne was reading a book about water crystal formation in his dorm when a hissing, sounding like build up steam from a train filled his ears. 'OOOOUUUUCCCCHHH!' He ran from the room, screaming.

Dani poked her head out of her dorm when she heard screaming "What's up?" she asked over the screaming, seeing the boy from earlier fun out of him room

He stopped, grabbed a piece of paper, and wrote down hatily over the noise in his head, "I've got a noise in my head, I can't concentrate, it's driving me mad, and it WONT GO AWAY!" and gave it to the girl.

What the hell? Dani though, dodging aside as steam almost hit her, she grabbed his arm and pulled him to the elavator, from there she took him to the sick bay "He's really, really sick" she said to the Lady, who smiled and led him to a bed "We'll look after him, don't worry" she said

Miranda walked out of the lecture room and went to her dorm. She sat her bags down on a couch and flopped on her bed. She stared at the ceiling for a moment. She got up and walked into the hallway. "Wow, where did this steam come from?" She shrugged.

Dwayne was fine now, the steaming noise in his ears was gone. In his room, he was wondering how in the blazes he had done that. He decided to go discuss it with that girl that had seen the steam...For the first time in a few years, he was going to talk!

Dani looked at the other two "Uhh, do you guys have a painting in your rooms? Can I go see it?" she asked, without waiting for an answer she walked inside Dwaynes room, like she thought, there was a camera there too.

"I dunno. I didn't really look around in my room yet.." Miranda followed Dani into Dwayne's room. "Cameras? What the??"

"I dunno" Dani said, a similiar check showed that Miranda's room had a camera has well, "This school is starting to sound shifty" she muttered

"Well, as far as I can tell, you're going to have to...Hmmm....Hey, anyone up for a shopping trip?" Dwayne grinned. It was actually quite good to be talking again.

Dani shook her head "Didn't you read the handbook? We're not allowed out of the grounds unless its a weekend, it's tuesday today" she said, she sat on the edge of the bed, "I suppose we could go exploring" she added

"Well...We could check the grounds on the way..." If we find three paintings that can't conceal cameras, let's nick them, shall we?" Dwayne started down the corridor.

Dani ducked into her room and grabbed her jacket, then she followed Dwayne into the grounds

Dwayne skuck sneakily into the teacher's compound. The first room looked normal enough. So did the second and third. But the third was a suprise. It was a camera control room! "This must be where they control the cameras from!" Dwayne ducked. Someone was coming...

Dani looked alarmed as she heard footsteps, she dragged Dwayne under the desk as a Lady came into the room "Hmmm..... nothing unusual as yet, but it will be soon" she muttered into a walkie talkiem before walking back out

"Good, they did'nt see the steam comnig from my hand!" Now Dwayne knelt over the desk, looking through the papers. He grabbed one, photocopied it, put it back on the table and told his friend to run!

Dani looked at what he had photocopied, it was a list of all their names, their addresses and where they used to go to school "Weird" she muttered, she crept back out of the room and soon they were back in the grounds

Dani looked around, and spotted vincent in a tree, she remembered his less than friendly response earlier, but thought a second chance wouldn't hurt "Hey, uh... Vincent, wasn't it?" she called, walking over to the tree

"You have those too?" Dwayne looked around shiftily, not wonting to disclose his secret to a stranger. "Steam came out of my hand!"

Dani pushed away the bushes and opened the door, wincing as it creaked, she gestured for the others to follow and they arrived in a small dimly lit space, with stone walls, and a small hole in the roof, leading to the outside. But Dani didn't notice any of this, all she saw was a white book on a golden pillar in the middle of the room, it felt like she was being drwn towards it, and she picked it up. It felt like it belonged there. She opened the book and for some strange reason was not surprised when a jet of air shot from it, making a beam through the hole in the roof, stretching further than the eye could see. As this was happening, her other friends were reaching for the other coloured books on their own golden pillars

Dwayne had loved water for as long as he could remember, and when he touched the book, a pillar of water rose from the book, and he touched it. He didn't know how it was possible, but the water stayed in place, even when he stuck his hand straight through it! He realized that that was what the steam was, his own water powers! He read the first line....
"In the beginning, when the first powers appeared, there were only one person who had each power. They called themselves after their powers, and were masters of them. But seeing as there was only one person who had each power, there was every chance that one of the could die without offspring to give their powers to. There was one person, Light, who died when using his powers...The others greived for the rest of their lives on the loss. I, Water, created this book to help in the construction of those powers that the ones now reading this book." And Dwayne powers flared immediately. With a flash of pain in his head, steam shot from his hand once more, and hit the pillar. The pillar immediatey turned green, and Dwayne could handle the pain in his head no longer. He ran to his room screaming, and as soon as he got back, the steam vented itself. The room was filled with steam.

In the beginning. The was one of each power. However, when one of our ranks was struck aside. We each began our own book of teaching, and embedded ourselves in them, in the hope that our ancestors too, may glean what they can from this knowledge, and protect the earth when we are gone.
Dani stuck her hand inside the jet of air, it dissapeared and in it's place stood a man made of air. "Hello, Dani. Long have we waited for your friends and you. You have been chosen to protect our great earth, from the powers threatening to destroy since we oursleves were children."
Dani looked startled "Uh..... Ok, then" she muttered, trying to take it all in, she breifly registered a Woman made of Water calling Dwayne back

Dwayne was in his room, steam still screaming out of his hand. He had realized that if he put his hand in the steam, it didn't hurt. The steam didn't harm him! Then a lady made entirely of water walked in. Dwayne was so scared that he didn't even speak. She beckoned to her and a voice like flowing water resounded in his mind. 'Come with me. I am Water's Essence, the very being of the woman who could contol it, Water. You must come back to that room immediately.' And without a word, he followed.

Dwayne walked in with Water's Essence. "If you don't do this, Vincent, your powers will just worm out of you, like they did with me and the steam." Dwayne walked back to his pillar of water, and Water's Essence walked back into the water pillar, and it froze.

Dani's elemental began to speak again. And everyone in the room was quiet. "Dani, Vincent, Jake, Miranda, Dwayne. We need you. This school was once a place of knowledge, and learning. Now it has a more sinister purpose. They wish to use you in wars, to fight. Whereas you are given these powers to protect, not to harm." He looked at each one of them individually, then straight at Dani "I am your mentor, I will guide you. You can summon me with this." he said calmly, handing her a small white whistle, which she put on a chain around her neck, the other Elementals gave their Mentees similiar whistles, of different colours "Return to your rooms. But meet here tommorow instead of going to class" he finnished, turning on the spot and vanishing. The other elementals did the same

Dwayne went to bed afterwards, but couldn't sleep. He got up and went to the Room Of Knowledge (as he liked to call it), and blew his whistle. The ice unfroze, and Water's Essence walked out. 'What are you doing here?' Dwayne answered in his head, as he had done before he started talking. 'I want to learn but I'm not sure you'll let me....The lady spoke. 'I can hear, you know.' Dwayne stared at her. 'You can hear my mind?' 'Yes.' 'So, can you?' 'Yes, again.' And with that, she beckoned to him to walk into the pillar, and he came out in WATER! Dwayne saw there was no way up, and as he held his breath desperately, Water's Essence came with a flash of light. 'The very list thing Light made' Water said sadly. 'A light traveler for each of us to whereever we want to go.' Dwayne called out with his mind, desperately. 'HELP!' Water replied, 'Breath. Just try it.' 'But I'll drown!' 'Do it!' And with that, Dwayne took in a huge gulp of water.

Dwayne was feeling scared as he took the first gulp of water instead of air, but he found he could breath it! He nearly felt like he had a heat attack. He asked Water's Essence, 'What else can I do?' And she answered, 'Many things. You can breath underwater, you can create water attacks and control liquids and ice. I want you to do some Tai Chi moves.' Dwayne had already learned a bit of Tai Chi, to calm him when he got angry. This time he did it in water. The movements made a current whick created a water wall against the rest of the water!

Water's Essence said, 'You must go now.' And with a flash of light, he was back in his dorm.

Dani woke up, feeling oddly cold, she went to step out of bed and stifled a scream, she was floating about 2 metres above her bed, she tentatively leant to the right, and found she could control it! She spent about ten minutes practising her flying, then had a shower, got changed, and went downstairs for breakfast

Next morning, he found that he was dreaming of that first breath of water all over again. Dwayne woke up, neutrality at how they had to go back to the Room Of Knowledge. He went and had breakfast, and met up with the others at the door to the Room.

Dani, yet again, looked around, before opening the door quietly as she could, closing it behind them all. When they walked into the room, the Elementals were waiting "Branch off into groups of four. You, your elemental, and another team" The air elemental instructed, gliding over to hover by Dani's side

Dwayne called to Water's Essence, and they walked over to Dani. 'I so want to be with her. If we want to move anything, it should be easy, because she can try to push solid things with her wind. Liquids are harder to push with air, so I could do that, and she could move gases with her air.' 'Water's Essence replied, 'You have made a good choice. I see the power glow within her, and within you. They are balanced.'

Dani looked at her Mentor "Theres only one way to properly learn how to fight. BEGIN!" He yelled the last bit, Dani looked uncertain, but, catching his nod, took on a fighting stance "Ready, Dwayne?"

"Wait a moment." He consulted Water's Essence. 'Can I do that thing with the water like I did last night?' She answered, 'Yes. But you must feel the water around you, breath it, know it!' And Dwayne called out, "Begin!" He began the Tai Chi. He did all that the teacher said, closed his eyes, concentrated hard... And thought of more water on top. And more, and more....Until he felt himself sweating and groaning from the effort.

"WAIT!" Dani called, when he had stopped, she turned to her mentor "What should I call you? You know our names" she asked, he smiled "You can call me Ventus" he said.
Dani turned back to Dwayne "Ok, Ventus. Let's go" she said, grinning. Then she felt something like she had never felt before. Ventus touched her shoulder, and she felt power course through her "LET'S DO THIS!" she yelled

Dwayne let the water drain back into him, and shouted, "READY!". He had an easy plan, as long as his water shield stayed in place... The water shield came out again, but manageable enough to stop her from getting him from the front. From what he gathered, she was still unlearned, as was he. That would give him power for his attack. Then a suprise happened, Unda slipped into the water on purpose! The water began to pulse unnaturally, and make a shield against the wind that was about to come. He let go of the shield, but it still stayed standing. She was doing it on her own! Dwayne plan was excellently in his favor now...

Dani stood up straighter, he eyes seemed to glow with power "Come get me Short Stuff!" she yelled, moving her hand in the 'bring it on' gesture

A muffled voice replied, "Think fast!" and two water whips, frozen, came at her. Then Dwayne had a brainwave. He pushed scalding steam through the air until it was going to hit her fingertips. Then he let it fy onto them.

Ventus still had his hand on her arm "There" he muttered, stepping back, he had given her more power. To Dani the whips seemed to come in slow motion. She easily jumped over them, and landed crouched on the balls of her feet, she punched a fist towards him and air shot out, like thousands of miniature swords, except not as sharp, the worst they would do was something similiar to carpet burn. She stepped back to her original position "Your turn!" she called, over the sound of the wind

Dwayne heard a small hit outside, but nothing happened. "You've gotta do better than that!" This close to so much water, he felt invincible! Dwayne screamed, "Try and get out of this one, sucker!" And made a very, VERY THICK WATER SHIELD (20 metres) around her immediately. Dwayne told Unda to stop, and then they both waited to see what happened.

Dani smirked. she closed her eyes and laid her hands on either side of the shield, blowing super hot air out, the ice melted within a minute, and she shot off the ground, hovering in the air, she grinned "That all you got Dwayne?" she laughed, she helf her palms out at him, shooting air to spin around him, making the air thinner, so he could only just breath "Give up!" she called warningly

Vincent walked near the fight and sat on a bench, watching with no emoction.

Dwayne grinned, a grin ever bigger than Dani's smirk. He made a cube of water round himself, with an air bubble in there. And he closed the air bubble! He transversed a message to Unda. "He can breathe underwater, fool! he says." Dwayne thought and thought in his water bubble, until he finally got an idea. Instead of ice, he created a wall of scalding steam around her. As long as he could keep the steam in place (much easier than water) and stop her from pushing it away with her air, she would be trapped, because if she tried to get through she would hurt herself.

BTW, that was soooo not CHECK and MATE. Fail! :P :P

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a massive wall of rock sprang right between Dani and Dwayne, leaving them dazed. Suddenly a voice called out, 'Do you want to kill each other, or what?' and they both turned their heads towards the voice.

P.S: I'm not completely sure what's going on here, if it's more than two guys fighting or whatever.

Dwayne let the powers fade, before saying, "Who in hell are you? We were just dueling, and I was just about to win!"

EDIT - We're dueling in the Room of Knowledge aka where our Elementals dwell. We discovered it by accident, and our Elementals told us to come back here the next day. We're dueling.

'Just call me Nick' said the figure, stepping out where they could properly see him, not looking that impressing. 'I just got here to Sky High and I already see two guys fighting to the death... tell me, is this normal here?' finished Nick with a smile tugging at his lips.

Dwayne broke into a grin. He had just found a friend. "We're actually, as far as I can tell, the only people in the school this year who have powers, and the people don't know it yet. We just found out about them, and we're testing our abilities against one another in duels. Hey, want a try?," Dwyane said with a grin.

'Well, of course, but before we start can you please tell me what is going on here? Or do we just start throwing stuff at each other until one of us gives up?'

"Nothing much. We just need to trap one until they cry, "Yield!" It means they give up on the duel. It may have looked like a fight to the death, but it it because we are evenly matched." Dwayne turned around and looked at the earth wall. "That wall is weak." He froze the base of the wall, and sent an icicle in that direction. The base shattered, and the wall came tumbling down.

'Well, I don't really get much practice in erecting walls of stone until, oh, like yesterday, but I'll give it a try' Nick suddenly noticed something. 'Oh, and by the way, why does the guy you were dueling just stand there doing nothing?' He moved his hand and Dwayne got poked with a pebble, however, he seemed unresponsive. 'Oh well, I guess he's just really sleepy' he gently moved Dwayne out of the way using the floor like a transporting belt, and took his place.

'Let's do this'

"Whoa, sorry. I was just talking to my Elemental. Go to the brown book over there, and call Terra. He will come to you." Dwayne gestured to the book. "Hmmm...Maybe she just needs a good bonk on the head, or a cold splash!' And Dwayne drenched her with water!

Nick walked over to the brown book, and started leafing through it. 'Let me see, water guy, air guy, fire guy-oh wait here it is.' He paused for a moment. 'Terra, Lord of the Ground, Keeper of the Plants and Master of the Jewels? You do know I'm Jewish right? In any case, let me see... oh yeah, like yoga, reach your inner cave and all that, I know this stuff'

Nick sat down and meditated, asking for Terra to answer him. When that didn't work, he just tried thinking of earth-y things until a voice called out in his mind:

'Nicholas Colfer, I am the Elemental Terra. What do you wish to know?'

'Well, it's two questions actually. First, Can you give me a couple of pointers about channeling my energy and throwing rocks at people? Second, do deities of nature always have to speak like they're from the Middle Ages?'

'Actually, no, but Mother Nature can't get enough of it and we get part of the 'slang'. And to answer your important question, remember that the earth is an element of resilence and fortitude. Always stand your ground, even when in retreat. Now that you have talk with me your powers will have upped a bit. I think your new friend is waiting...'

The voice faded, and Nick turned around. 'I'm ready now', he said. 'On your mark'

"I suggest that you look over there first," Dwayne said. "Your Elemental is forming." And, sure enough, there was dirt rising up from the ground, clay, and there was a man there, seemingly made like a pot. "It is time to begin." Dwayne's Elemental, Unda, spoke to him. 'I will grant you extra power for your fighting spirit with Dana. I haven't seen it happen it a long time, but you have frozen the person. By accident, but you brought her back to life. I don't think you'll be able to do it again...' Dwayne called back, and was ready to begin.

-'Hey Terra, can I call you Terry?'
-'Of course, why not? Dwayne is giving you the benefit of the first move. I suggest you start with a weak attack, just-'
-'Gauging his defenses before surprising him with a powerful attack?'
-'Exactly, great minds DO think alike.'

Nick made a small sleight of hand and some rocks were chucked at Dwayne, but with considerable velocity. 'Let's test his reflexes', he thought, sending various volleys towards him, while Terra erected three small walls around Dwayne, with the only opening being where Nick had thrown the rocks.

-'Is that your idea of a weak attack?
-'Yes, why?'

"Hmmm....Can I start using watery reflexes? 'Why of course you can!' And with that, Dwayne made ice walls where the rocks were coming. He deliberately made them so that they wouldn't hold, but they would slow the rocks down, give him a chance to dodge them with unhuman speed. And that's exactly what he did. The shattered ice made a screen, so that Nick couldn't see what he did to get rid of the rocks. After that, he destroyed the rock walls the same way as before, and cleared away the rubble. "My turn!" he called. He once more consulted Unda. 'What should I do?' She soon replied, 'Go for the weakest point with earth. Erosion.' And Dwayne started making waves, huge waves that would give Nick an almost impossible chance of stopping them.

While Dwayne dodged rocks, Nick was consulting with Terry.

-'Cam you turn into dust Terry'
-'Yes, why?'
-'On three, okay?'
-'Yes'
-'Okay, annnnd-THREE!'

Just as Dwayne twitched his eyes after the last volley of rocks, Terra disintegrated into dust while Nick dropped into the ground. Due to something called saccadic masking, in which the eye goes momentarily blind when you move it, it seemed as they had vanished into thin air just as the waves came towards them. Nick realized it would not be long until Dwayne realized what they were doing. They had to act fast, and burrowing through rock wasn't very quick. There was little margin for error.

"Darn it, they're burrowing through the ground! Its either that or they're in that big dust cloud over there." Dwayne moved toward the cloud, still making waves. Then, a brainwave. 'Unda, going to need a bit of extra help, here. Can I turn rock into water?' 'Well, we can try. I've seen others do it, but not a beginner...' 'Well, I'm going to take a chance!' Dwayne felt invincible once more. 'One, two, three! NOW!' And he imagined with all his might that the earth under the room for 1 kilometre was water, and the duel ground was filled with it. Then it was reality! Everything around him was water! 'Let's see how he worms his way out of this one without coming off the battle-field and surrendering, Unda!'

-'Um, Terry? Can you throw a really big piece of rock at them? LIKE NOW?'

Nick was in trouble, and he knew it. His plan was too obvious, and he was struggling to pull it back together when Dwayne got hit with a slab of stone, disrupting his connection with his elemental, and giving him a split second to use the remaining earth directly below him as a spring, propelling himself to safety.

Dwayne was very good, he'd almost got him just in the first round. Time to amp it up.

"Good, thank goodness everything that doesn't have my powers moves slower." And Dwayne dodged the rock with ease. 'He'll need to take air soon.' And with that, Dwayne game him a air bubble, and made the surface tension of the water around them thick and rock solid. They were trapped!

Terra obliged, and the surface tension was broken,giving Nick a chance to get to land and retreat, moving the earth directly beneath his feet to propel himself. Momentarily, he was out of danger. But Dwayne had the upper hand.

-'What do we do now, any ideas Terry? I'm stumped'
-'Yes. We go all out.'

"Darn it, they got out!" Dwayne was a bit grumpy, and huffed out a current of water. "Hmmmm....A new plan. What to do, what to do...." And it then hit Dwayne. He created a water whip, made it hit Nick, froze it, and pulled him back into the water. Terra wouldn't be helping him now. Dwayne did the best trick he knew how, and he knew it would immobilise him. He called out, "Hold your breath!" And he made it so the water soaked the oxygen up from the air, and so Nick couldn't breathe. He called out, "Do you yield?" He thought he saw a small nod, so he swam to the surface, dragging Nick, and dove out of the water. He drained the water, leaving a HUGE hole in the floor. He poured the water into the hole, and imagined with all his being that it was like the sparring floor before. He touched it gingerly with his foot. It was normal again. He walked over to Terra, holding Nick by the hand. "I believe he lost."

Dani stepped to the side in order to allow them more room to fight, she looked at the other boy, 'vincent' she thought, remembering his name "Wanna spar?" she asked conversationally

"Yeah, right. We're opposites. We're even. And you thought you had me when you took away my air." Dwayne laughed. "I'm the controller of water. It's only natural that I can breathe water. And by the way, freezing blood isn't too hard for me. Its a liquid. I do liquid."

"Your all acting like babies. One of you could get terribly hurt. Powers don't make you invincible." Vincent turned invisible through shadows and slapped Dwayne over the back of the head.
"Heh."

Suddenly Dwayne was hit hard with a rock. He staggered a little and turned around to see Nick walking towards him. 'You got me. You win, I lose. But it DOES seem kinda unfair that you can turn earth into water. Hey, I wonder if...' Nick made a downwards hand gesture, and Dwayne sunk into the earth. 'Hey Terry, come over here!'

When Terra reached them, Nick said, 'I think we make a good team, thanks for the help.' He turned to Dwayne, who was still struggling in the ground to general laughter. He stomped the ground and Dwayne shot up out of the earth.

'So.. are you going to tell me who your friends are?'

Miranda decided to go and see what everyone else was up to. When she arrived, she grinned. "Hmm, a duel? I'm joining!" She slowley raised her hands and tiny flames came out of them. She shot them at Vincent and smirked.

'Wait up! 'shouted Nick as he took off behind her. 'Guys come on!' The rest of the group ran behind him, crashing through the school until reaching the amphitheater. It was a large, elaborately ornate place, with many majestic decorations. The group quickly sat in a corner just as a small, but stern person walked up to the podium. He had terse eyebrows and long black her, maybe in his fifties. Nick guessed it was Dr. Frankenstron. He also guessed he changed his name on purpose. Correct on both accounts.

'Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here today at the start of a new school year...' droned the high, but somewhat malevolous voice. Nick wondered if he actually had surgery to fill the 'evil scientist' bill.

Dani slumped in her chair and tried to catch her breath, she looked at the man standing at the podium

"Welcome to a new year, at the Academy, We sincerly hope you enjoy your stay! Make sure you keep up to date with your homework, and, remember, unless you have a note from the nurse, you MUST attend all your classes" He seemed to look at Dai and her friends as he said this, and as he left the podium, he smiled and said "Remember, if you stay here, you might find the ordinary, become the extraordinary!" His eyes twinkled and he walked off the stage

'Before I leave, let me present Mr. George Bach, your grades coordinator!' A fair-featured, man with kept brown hair stepped up. His face, in contrast with the rest of his body, looked unusually cruel. He started talking about general rules and regulations of the academy. Nick only caught wisps...

'Six or seven to a dorm... school started at seven and let off at three... your schedules will be given to you...'

And so on. Fortunately Nick almost subconsciously memorized things, and soon he had the entire set of rules stowed away in his head. Finally the ceremony ended and they were informed to go to their dorms for the first time, but not before registering how the dorms were to be used. The group walked up and chattered along the way tho the dorm area, where an old lady held a pen and some papers. Nick figured this must be the register they were talking about, and headed towards her.

Dwayne trudged off to the English lesson, Dani and Vincent beside him. He looked at the classroom and saw a face staring out of the window, an evil, leering face. It was gone almost nefore he had seen it.

Nick was already at the classroom. 'Sorry guys but I went ahead, there's lots of free desks here.' The group had barely sat down when a chubby, jovial man bursted in, exclaiming about getting top know them all and how he was their English teacher. The class began.

Miranda sat next to Dani. She began chewing a peice of gum and played with her pencil, barley paying attention. The teacher passed out English books and went over the classroom rules. Miranda noticed a camera in the corner of the room.

Dani idly doodled in the back of her book, waiting for the last ten minutes of class to finnish, the teacher had assigned a book to read. It looked terrible in her opinion, she giggled at the picture on the front and whispered to Miranda

"I guess. Classes don't start for another 2 hours," Miranda shrugged. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a teacher peering out of their classroom with a walkie talkie.

Dani swung her bag over her shoulder as their English teacher poked her head around the door "Could I speak to you all for a minute?" she asked innocently. Dani and the other walked inside the room.

((The teachers officially think we're up to somthing, and we are going to be knocked unconscious and attempted brainwashed in a secret underground training facility.))

Dani sat on the other desk "What is it Miss?" she asked politely

The teacher smiled at them "Oh, I just wanted to make sure your fitting in nicely" she said, she walked over to the door and opened it "I'll just get something for us to drink" she said, closing the door, with the noticible snick of the latch locking. A fine yellow mist started coming out of the air vent

"What the hell?" Dani said loudly, jumping off the desk and trying to open the door, then she tried the windows, but they were locked too. She was just about to throw something through them, to try and escape, when her vison went blury, and she blacked out

Dwayne felt really weird. He was starting to faint, but he made a water bubble round himself. Even despite that, it was too late. He fell on the ground, unconcious.

Dwayne woke in a room, with the other. "What happened?" Dwayne walked to the others and woke
them gently. He looked for cracks and weakness in the door, but there was none. It was rock solid. The a voice came from a speaker at the side of the room...

"I think that was some kind of pousinoius gas they used.Remember what the elementals said,about the evil people who want to use us in wars.I think the teachers are the people who want to use us in wars!"

"I'd say it's a good idea that we all try to break down this door, one at a time. It looks solid enough, but looks can be deceiving." Dwayne tried first. He whipped up a storm inside the room, and tried to blow the door down with the sheer force of it. But it didn't work.

Dani pushed against it with all the air she could, but it wouldn't work, the voice in the speaker tutted "Now, Now children. Don't bother wasting yor stregnth. The door is anti-elemental. Your powers won't work on it so sit tight whilst we sort something out" it said
Dani turned around and looked at the speaker "SCREW YOU LADY!!!! LET US OUT!" she yelled angrilly, the air around them turning colder and a wind blowing through the room as her anger flowed into her powers

'Who says? We don't really need our hands to water-bend, just our minds...' Dwayne saw a puddle of water begin to appear at his feet. He concentrated harder, and soon the room was filling with water. The guards didn't realize it was him, so they just thought it was a storm outside. Soon, he could get the others to safety.

The guards kept dragging them, but the lady held up a hand and they stopped, she walked forwards until she was right in front of Dwayne "Tut Tut. And here I as thinking you were smart" she taunted "You see, I can bend too..." she laughed, bringing her hand up in front of his face, and he went rigid "Body bending..... You attacks can have no effect on me. I suggest you all come peacefully, or he may accidentally fall onto a sword" she smirked

Dani went wide eyed in shock We have to go. Otherwse he could die! she thought

They were dragged out of the water, and dumped in cages inside a small van, their hands were chained to the sides, and they could barely move their fingers, The lady released Dwayne and slammed the door behind herself, almost shattering their eardrums. She got into the drivers seat and two of the men stayed in the back, just in case

The first thing Dwayne did was let out a huge yell of pain. But at least he could move and communcate with the others now. He was shocked...They hadn't been told about this kind of power. It was evil. Too evil for words to justificate it.

Dwayne had been making little designs in his cage from the water in the cage already. They had just stopped, and Dwayne looked out the window. They were at a gate, peppered with holes and a sign, saying, "KEEP OUT. WAR TRAINING FACILITY. ENTER AT RISK OF DEATH."

The lady drove inside and closed the gates behind her. She opened the door and nodded at the men. They pulled oxeygen tanks and masks out of their bags, and strapped it to the kids faces "In case your wondering. Thats not oxeygen" the Lady sneered, as their vision swung, and, powerlessly, they passed out again.

They woke up in a hospital-type room, they were lying on beds with their hands firmly attached the the bedrails by steel, they couldn't move their arms, by Dani found the stregnth to turn her head and look around, the others were attatched to identical beds.

A voice came over a loudspeaker "Oh! Nice to see you've woken up!" the lady said, pressing a button to make the beds fold up slightly, so they were sitting up.

Miranda didn't reply. Instead, she had shut her eyes and imagined a big fire starting. She began to sweat like crazy, then broke free as fire began to fly everywhere and burn the chains on the bedrails.
