Ok.
My friend has been hiccuping since last week.
She either hiccups a lot all day, or hiccups 5 times, stops for a period of about eight hours, and starts again. Then the cycle repeats.
Her mom even took her to the ER and they did X-Rays and blood tests on her. They found nothing wrong.
Her doctor said it would pass, although I'm not exactly sure if he knows what to do with this...anyway I'm really worried about her. In school she just won't stop, and people laugh at her.

Do you guys have any tips or ideas to help her stop hiccuping?

Tell her that the longest hiccupping record was 13 days before the guy died of esophagus failure, and the rest of the top 5 were 12 days before they all died too. :D

That will probably scare them out of her.

How do you drink water upside down?

If she eats really fast, thats one way you get hiccups. Ask her if she eats fast, if she doesn't then I'm not sure why its happening.

Best way for me to get rid of them, is burping. :P
Hold your breath, then burp. Repeat. lol.

You take a cup filled with water. You put your lips on the opposite side of the cup. Then you tilt your head forward and your drinking water upside down.

Honestly, if trained medical professionals cannot get her to stop her hiccupping, then I doubt that teenagers on Club Penguin forums can either.

If she's not allergic, eating peanut butter always helps me, or eating a sugar cube.

Hiccups begin when you have irregular breathing. Just tell them to hold their breath. The air gets stuck inside causing the throat to spasm. Otherwise it would have to be bleeding in the throat. No way it can last that long.

This really sounds dangerous. It's abnormal for her to be hiccupping this much. Scaring her, having her hold her breath, and drinking water upside down are good remedies. I think she just may need more professional medical help.

T.V. teaches us many lessons. To get rid of hiccups, you must drink lots of water, hold your breath in, and a lot of other stuff. Watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqZ1ci34cnA
