PITTSBURGH -- A Cranberry company that monitors peer-to-peer file-sharing networks discovered a potentially serious security breach involving President Barack Obama’s helicopter.

Tiversa employees found engineering and communications information about Marine One at an IP address in Tehran, Iran.

”We found a file containing entire blueprints and avionics package for Marine One, which is the president's helicopter," said Bob Boback, CEO of Tiversa.

The company told Target 11 that it was able to trace the file back to its original source.

"What appears to be a defense contractor in Bethesda, Md., had a file sharing program on one of their systems that also contained highly sensitive blueprints for Marine One," Boback said.

Tiversa also found sensitive financial information about the cost of the helicopter on that same computer.

Boback said someone from the company most likely downloaded a file-sharing program, typically used to exchange music, not realizing the potential problems.

"When downloading one of these file-sharing programs, you are effectively allowing others around the world to access your hard drive," Boback said.

"We found where this information came from," said Retired Gen. Wesley Clark, an adviser to Tiversa. "We know exactly what computer it came from. I'm sure that person is embarrassed and may even lose their job, but we know where it came from and we know where it went."

Boback notified the government immediately and said appropriate steps are being taken.

It just goes to show, nothing is safe on the Internet.

Apparently Obama's new will be the most advanced in the world, with all sorts of fancy-schmancy avionics, anti-weapons thing-a-mabooms and full communication gadgetry to give the Leader of the Free World "Oval Office in the sky capabilities." Obama has reportedly turned down the offer for the helicopter, since they are $480 million each and there is an entire fleet of them so it adds up to be a lot.

You sure he should....?

[I don't really have a gun....

I mean, he tries to encourage people to use public transport then he goes off and buys a gazillion $480 millions helicopters...

There is no need for these helicopters. I say stick with the old ones and shut up about it. he just wants it for ''style''

BESIDES there is a whole chuck load of other stuff in our nation that needs that 480 Mil, not just to Obama.

Seriously? Who needs a $480 million helicopter? Does he not realize that we are millions of dollars in debt and he just spent billions on another boost-the-economy fail?

Thats why he turned down the offer. If you read what ToM! said, you would know that.

Well, it goes to show, don't download file sharing programs, especially not on FBI computers.

You guys keep talking about the 480 Million like he used it for style. All of that money went into it for protection.

Is it even his decision? And not the marines?

And as long we are on the subject of presidents blowing money, that's like, what, 24 hours in Iraq?

I could go on and on with sources predicting the war around 700 mil dollars a day.

Now, do you have any source at all the war costs 450 mil dollars every four months, or do you just want to admit your dead wrong? OR do you somehow have more knowledge than the people actually studying this and making a ballpark estimation?

E-anlisyt? This is washington post.

The war is costing $720 million a day or $500,000 a minute, according to the group's analysis of the work of Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph E. Stiglitz and Harvard public finance lecturer Linda J. Bilmes.

Yeah, an E analyst all right.

Somebody is a little snappy today.

They said that it was 700 Million including longterm expensises. But, all of those links link back to the same thing.

*Snap*

I just found random sources. They are all pretty much around that. And yes, don't long term expenses count too? Or do we just ignore them?

Either way, you were off by, oh, 80,000 millon dollars?

How many helicopters are we talking about here? The rest of the article referred to the helicopter (singular).

Wow that is a lot of expensive helicopters.

However before you can make a claim like "Obama is doing this for style" (like Snoopy said) you have have to know if its even Obama's decision and whatnot.

He has all those helicopters so there is a chance that if someone decides to shoot down one, there is a less of a chance it is the helicopter with the president in it. I think they should make them all look the same but the one have extra features that the president rides in. Adding fake equipment on the not as advanced heli's to make them look advanced can save us money and it can do the same thing.

He already have a 747, why need a helicopter? The 747 is better than a Helicopter.
