"How do I change my rank?"
You cannot change your rank, we do not have post ranks on this forum. Post ranks have been disabled due to spam. They will not be coming back, do not ask.

Infraction Ranks
Users who break the rules here get "infractions". An infraction will change your rank for 10 days until it goes away, and if you get five infractions you are permanently banned. In order of infractions, here are the infraction ranks:
Rule Violator
Double Rule Violator
Triple Rule Violator
On my way out...Other Negative Ranks
Naughty Penguin - This user cannot use his/her avatar or signature anymore.
BANNED - This user is temporarily banned.
PERMA-BANNED - This user is permanently banned.Administrators
Administrators are the people assigned the highest level of control on the forum. They have the power to delete, rename, lock and unlock entire forums. They can also delete members at will, change members' ranks, alter all aspects of their profile informations and ban entire IP address ranges from logging in and registering new accounts. In a nutshell, they can do anything.

How to become an Administrator:

Age Requirement?:
You must be at least 13 to use the forums. There is no age requirement for Moderators as they must be at least 13, legal age to use the forums. Administrators must be legally classified as an adult, in the United States this is 18 and over. Details in England and other countries may vary.

Anybody with more posts than me is a spammer. Simple as that. I am the one that patrols the forums and normally I respond to rule breakers... that translates to me posting a lot.

Want the simple answer? Some people joined today and already have got over 100 posts. Yep no typo 100.

I find that really stupid, RFS has had loads of posts to do with infractions and yet they've got more posts than him as well.

The problem with this forum is already starting. People think that they have to get high posts to get famous. There are already some users that have posted 102 posts just TODAY. That is insane. There needs to be something about that because half of those have to be spam. What do you think tetsu?

We want people to read the rules. Having "Please read the rules" as their rank for much longer is a good way to constantly remind them to read the rules, because most new members don't.
The problem with this forum is already starting. People think that they have to get high posts to get famous. There are already some users that have posted 102 posts just TODAY. That is insane. There needs to be something about that because half of those have to be spam. What do you think tetsu?

I don't really mind how many posts they have so long as they are not spamming. If you think somebody is spamming to get a high post count, please report them, that way I can actually do something about them.

I was going more towards the point that this forum has been operating for less than a week and already people are just starting off were they left off.

This is our second chance, this forum is very well made and intended to be more organized, yet even though people know things are different here, they still don't bother to read any sticky threads or even glance over the rules.

People are more worried about getting the post count to post images or moving their old threads (which may have caused spam) into the forum.

I'm still kinda looking around. The first day this forum opened there was laready a couple pages of new threads.

I am glad to see the trainee mods, but I'm anxious to see how they handle things.

I like that idea. I kind of tested something like that on one of my PHPbb forums and it seemed to work. If you can figure out how to do that and scrap the post count then i think the forums would be much better off. Your rank will expire in 10 days from the time it was given. But of course, if you break the rules and you recieve another infraction, ayou will get a Second Rule Violator. A good suggestion would be to follow the rules the best you can to avoid another infraction.

Simple, we post so much that in order for it to be like Miniclip for most users the ranks have to be much further apart. Some people changed ranks on the first day they were on the forums.

What happens is that people might see a post from someone with the "please read the rules" rank and they get all arrogant and say "what do you know, look at your rank"

As if they think that people that are new are completely delusional in what goes on in CP, which I may add is not the most complex game to figure out on a first try.

Since it takes 750 posts to get a ''somewhat excting rank'' it seems to encourage spam posting, for a higher post count, to achieve a ''decent rank''.

I don't like the ranks all that much either, Just my opinion though. :)

Yeah we could do that as well, "Registered Penguin" or "Regular Penguin". Something like that.

If we trash the CP ranks it's a POSSIBILITY that maybe I can use those "public groups" and let you "pick" a rank, maybe something like: Club Penguin Player, Penguin Artist, etc. Just an idea though and I've never tested or used that before.

If ranks and post count are gone, spam will drop a lot. Although, that's just my guess. I think I will throw a party on Club Penguin if ranks and post counts are shut off.:D

This may be really hard to do for the administrators and moderators to do, but would it be possible to people to choose their own ranks? Just wondering.

We are seriously contemplating turning off post count completely. So far, agreement has been unanimous but Ben is not available for comment. We are waiting to see what he has to say before we shut it off, plus we need him because he has top code access, which is needed to disable it.

Yeah those ranks stay. Everyone will just lose their post rank and revert to "Registered User" or whatever we choose as deafult.
