Chapter 1: Saving Impa
http://zs.ffshrine.org/album/legend-of-zelda/art/impa.gif

A young boy, a little older than twelve, in a green tunic was walking down the forest path. He liked exploring the forest. There was so much there. Many mysteries and secrets. It's a quiet, peaceful, place. It is also the only safe area in the whole country, Hyrule. Although why, the boy didn't know.
He heard a scream. It sounded like someone was in trouble! The scream was far away, he could just barely hear it. The boy ran as fast as he could to the source of the noise. When he finally got there, he saw an old woman surrounded by 3, dog-like creatures. What are these things? He thought to himself.
The creatures were big, very big. They had blue skin, and had glowing red eyes. They had elephant-like tusks coming out of their mouths. Their teeth were filled with cavities and really needed to be brushed. They were smelly too. The boy had trouble trying to breathe with that smell. The weapons they carried were long swords with skulls on the handle. Whatever these things were, they were made from dark magic.
The boy hoped to stay quiet, but he steeped on a twig. It snapped right away. The creatures noticed him! They growled the way a dog would. And charged at him. They were very quick. The boy immediately jumped out of the monsters way. One tripped on a root. The boy then swung a branch on the ground against the monster's skull. The branch snapped in two. The monster got back up, noticed what the boy did. And roared.
The boy, since he was in front of the thing. Could see how tall these monsters were. About 10 feet! The boy quickly ran, and immediately met the other two monsters. He saw the other one charging at him. The boy quickly thought of an idea, and lured the monsters to a nearby tree. He climbed up it. Te monsters said " knurg ast ke noh!" Whatever they said, it was sure not Hyrulian language. Then the monsters did as he hoped they would. They took out their swords, and began chopping down the tree. When it fell, the boy got on top. The tree it the three monsters in the head, with such force, the boy heard their skulls crack open. The monsters fell, dead.

The old lady limped toward the boy. "Thank-you for saving me," she said.
The boy did not respond.
"Hello?" Asked the old woman.
The boy still didn't respond.
"Are you deaf?"
The boy shook his head.
"Mute?"
The boy nodded his head.
"That explains that," said the woman. "By the way, I'm Impa. Princess Zelda's nurse."
The boy shook hands with her.
"Could you write down your name? I'll get some paper and a quill."
She gave him the paper and quill, and the boy wrote down his name.
"So, Link, right?"
Link nodded.
"Okay then. It looks like your the on I've been looking for these past few weeks."
What? thought Link.
"You see," Impa continued. "A few months ago, Hyrule was taken over. Everyone had to evacuate to these Northern lands. During that time, Zelda, princess of Hyrule, was taken by Ganon, who is now technically the king of Hyrule. TECHNICALLY! Not really. Anyway, do you know why Ganon came? He was a greedy, evil, man...pig...dog...thingy. And he wanted the triforce of wisdom. He has the Triforce of power. And the triforce of courage is still to be found. Ganon wanted to use both triforces to get the triforce of courage. Then he could gain control of Hyrule, maybe even this entire realm! To prevent this, Zelda broke the triforce of wisdom into eight pieces, and scattered them across the land. Now she is held hostage under Ganon. Ganon sent his minions (the monsters you saw earlier, moblins, are some of his doings) to retrieve the pieces. Link, you must find the pieces before Ganon does, and use them to stop Ganon once and for all!"
Wow, I rescued a loon. Thought Link. There's no way I can do that!

Chapter 2:
The old man.

Link was a little nervous. After all, he was supposed to fight some great evil. He didn't even have a sword! How was he supposed to fight? I can't outwit him. thought Link. This is some all powerful super-being. It won't be fooled by a few tricks. Well, I should get a sword then! But who would sell a sword to a 12 year old? He didn't know what to do!
He tripped over a vine. I should be more careful about where I'm going. He said to himself. Then he saw a cave inside a cliff. Although, it wasn't the cave that caught his attention, it was the cliff! It was, instead of the usual grey color, green! Link walked up to the cave, silently and slowly. It was pitch black when he looked inside. Looks like nothing is here. he thought.
But something was here. Link heard some footsteps. They were getting louder. Someone was coming! Link took out his small homemade shield, and got behind it. Out of the cave came, not a moblin, or some other monster, but an old man.
"That's the worst hiding spot ever," he said.
Link put his shield back.
"What do you want, child?" Asked the old man.
Link tried his best to show that he was mute.
"Mute eh?" It worked.
The old man then said "Come with me, Link, I have something you might need..." Link followed him, into the dark, dark, cave.
