One of the achievements is listed as to have Vital Viper approve an image. Can you still count that if one of his workers approved it, and not him directly?

yeah I think it just needs a stamp on it to get that achievement.

He doesn't approve them himself anymore?

Well, I guess as long as it gets the stamp then you did it.
