Sneak preview: MCCP Achievements

There is not going to be a system that automatically adds these to your account, these are just for fun. There is going to be 100 of them, and like a true 360 title, they all add up to 1000 points. Here are some previews, with or without achievement icons.

This is a side project of mine right now. The list is done and finalized for the most part, I just need to make about 95 more icons... for now here's 10 as a preview.

edit2: I have added one more oddball secret achievement to make the count 101. I have also made an "expansion pack" set, 25 more worth 250 points total.

I've put an insane amount of thought into witty/funny titles for them all. I had about 12 hours total in terms of car trips and flight time over the weekend so I wrote them on scratch paper to pass the time. PRODUCTIVITY!!

MOST of the achievements have some relevance to what you're supposed to do, ie "Cool Shirts & Funny Toys" is what is sold at the store Hot Topic - a play on the forum term for a popular thread.

There is no way for the forums to automatically recognize the requirements for some of the achievements, so these are just for fun and laughs. I do plan on uploading them all as default avatars though.

^as for this one, I don't really know what it means but I accidentally set off the filter before. I got an infraction for that.

If you type a regular word and it sets off the filter then you got this one. Basically if you're in the right and the filter goes off you're okay.

Whenever I post the FINAL thing maybe I'll have a tracking thread/subforum/spaceship for them so users can keep track of them all. You also will have the option of putting one as your avatar, or you can use Paint to link 5 of them together and upload as a signature.

Noooo please don't go breaking rules on purpose. If you get it on accident then you get it, it's all for fun. Nobody's getting anything special for getting the most points.

Side Note: Depending on if these go over well, I've been working on an "expansion pack" - since real 360 games with expansion packs are allowed 250 more points. :P

I don't think I explained it very well. :blush: What I meant to say was: will we still be given achievements/titles/awards that we have already accomplished in the past? Or do these ones not count?

e.g. I have already got an infraction revered in the past, so will this achievement be added once the new system is up? Or won't it because people will only get achievements for new things they have accomplished?

bytheway, the 777 posts one, no so much a great idea.

There's only a couple of post-themed ones, and they involve mostly making 1 post, getting to X rank, the 777 one, one more special number theme, and then one regarding what is after 10,000. I tried not leaning on those like a crutch because making them all after post ranks isn't too fun.

As for the ones with people's faces, they don't vectorize as well as the drawn images and stuff. :(

You are correct with the Viva Las Vegas reference. A lot of the achievements are references to other things. (911 Is A Joke, Rigged Like Florida, Make BA Baracus Proud, Reptilian Friend Stalker, etc.)

The baby gator achievement picture goes with one that's a lot easier. The Antivenomget achievement is considered "hard" because it is time-locked. SNT isn't always open. There are achievements that go with Super Hero Lounge as well, and also some of the other JFF forums.

They're all made in Adobe Flash CS3 Professional. I use it for stuff like this because it's quick and easy and very simple to get a uniform design across several icons, such as the 101 I made for this project.

I'm done with the icons now, all 101 have been made and there are appropriate names and descriptions for them all with point values. I also added three new profile fields in the "Forum Specific Stuff" category of your profiles, information on what they are about will be posted in the JFF forum when everything is ready to go. The Achievement Unlocked forum opens up on February 1st.

Just a quick go-over is "Junkie" for someone who goes for every single possible achievement, "Collector" who just gets them as they come, "Expert" for someone who tries to get as many red ones as possible, and "Non-participant" who doesn't really want to take part or keep track. :P
