Barack Obama delivered a hopeful vision of what America can become during his inaugural address as the 44th U.S. president. He is now making his way to watch the inauguration parade. "This is America happening," said Evadey Minott, one of an estimated 2 million people who watched in Washington.

I'm watching it now. He mucked his words up when saying the oath and forgot what to say. I don't blame him anyway, he must be nervous.

Note: It is running several minutes late.

P.S. Well done Barack Hussein Obama!

I noticed that too. He is called Hussein as he was named after hid grandfather. His grandfather was a Catholic who converted to becoming Muslim.

On topic: His speech sounds very good, but it is going on a bit.

Hopefully he proves me wrong and is a great president!

Change wont begin straight away.

Everyone says he's the 44th President... but he's not! He's the 43rd. One man [I've forgotten who it was] was President for one term, then someone else took office, and then he returned. So there has only really been 43 Presidents.

It was a great ceremony. The speech was great, although Obama did rush the Oath a bit... ah well, he must've been very nervous.

I really hope change does come.

I skipped lunch to go watch it on a big screen. A few people next to me cried because they were so happy. It is amazing how well respected he is. The speech and all was pretty good. I didn't think he was the best one for the job, but I realize we have to move on. Good luck, BHO.

EDIT: I finally removed my Mccain/Palin avatar. hhhhhhhaaaaa

Most of my school day was watching the inauguration.

1st - Computers - Played computer games and watched inauguration (sub)
2nd - Gym - Went downstairs and watched inauguration for whole period.
3rd - Science - No inauguration but no classwork, either. Just reading.
4th - Math - Regular math. D:
5th - Social Studies - Watched inauguration and did easy work. We got out of class 15 minutes early to get lunch because...
6th - Lunch - My whole grade went into the auditorium and watched inauguration while we ate lunch because the superintendent wanted everyone to see it and 6th and 8th grade went across the street to the high school and watched it in their auditorium.
7th - German - Inauguration was on the TV, did easy work.
8th - English - Did presidential inauguration worksheet while inauguration was on TV.

So it was a pretty easy day. =p I thought his speech was really good. I didn't think it was too long. My friend Brad was like the most enthusiastic in the whole auditorium and he was sitting 2 away from me so he was clapping and cheering really loud. xP Congratz Obama!

Surprisingly, I got to watch a part of it during the first half of my third period class. Just his oath and the 20 minute speech, which was pretty good. Except for him taking random breaks between sentences or paragraphs.

We (luckily) got the morning off to watch them all leave the White House, come to the Capitol Building, and then they were all introduced and we got to watch Joe Biden get sworn in and then Obama got sworn in and gave his speech.

Did you know that the guy almost messed up the swearing in ceremony? Yep, he did.

Exactly what I think.

I don't agree with much that Obama is ''going'' to do..

Say goodbye to America.

And @ Nut:
WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK THAT THE FIRST THING PEOPLE GO TO IS RACE WHEN IT COMES TO HATING PEOPLE?! God, it's so annying. That's like the LAST thing on my mind right now.
What's on my mind right now is all the horrible things that are banned, will become un banned. And the large chance my brother might DIE over in the Middle East. So seriously, you all need to stop drawing conclusions abour that.

If you can't even say the oath right, you don't deserve to be the president. And this is the man, the so called "The One". Wow. We watched in my 2nd hour class today. Like the whole class period we watched it. His speech was boring.

I hated it when the other presidents came out. Everyone cheered for Jimmy Carter, William J. Clinton, and Hillary Clinton. But like no one cheered for George H.W. Bush Sr.. And a few cheered for George W. Bush Jr. Now I'm sorry, but that is messed up. And the whole crowd went up when President Barrack Obama came out. I really don't trust "The One".

Actually, Obama didn't screw up the Oath, the Chief Justice did by putting "faithfully" before "will" instead of "will" before "faithfully. Not Obama's fault.

It's not because he's black. Someone where the only thing they led is a Community Planner (which is even usually a woman job :P) just doesn't make me trust him. Hilary Clinton's 3:00 A.M. commercial was a big hit at Obama because it was true. Obama doesn't have enough experience.

Something I found a bit disturbing in the speech, "We are friend to all the nations of the world" or something like that.

To be honest, I don't think Iran wants to be our friend, I don't think Cuba does either, neither does Venezuela.

I'm sure the feeling is mutual as well.

Doesn't have enough experience, eh? How can he not have any experience if he can talk in front of over a million people and to the world on television? When he was at Hardvard, he was the first African-American president of the Hardvard Law Review and he was also a teacher and a Senator. But as McCain said, I don't know if he has as much experience as him in world affairs. But with the aid of Biden and others, I think he'll make a change for the better.
