God of War II Troubles ~HELP ME~

My mom bought God of War II for Easter. She gave it to me early and I was all excited 'bout it, right? Well, I try to play it and it didn't read it. I tried it over and over looking for scratches and other bugs. It didn't work so I figure that something is wrong with my PS2. I try a different game and it worked. What is happening? It is read GoW II as it was a blank disk. It can't be my PS2 because we bought the first GoW II and it never worked. We traded it back in and got another copy, that one didn't work. Now, still keep in mind that a year ago my brother dropped my science book on the disk tray thing that feeds the disk into the PS2. It still works perfectly though. What is going on?!? I NEED HELP!!!! -_-

Hmm, could it be possible that once the book hit the tray that it damaged something inside of it?
Maybe that thing inside of it is having trouble reading the disk. Is the disk scratched or dusty?

These are my suggestions. If these don't work, maybe you should ask someone where you bought the disk and maybe they can also help you.

Did you play other games since he droped the book on it? If you did, then it can't be that problem. Maybe the PS2 is having problems. Some people have to go to a shop and let people look at it for them. So if it was your brother, We don't no.

No, it did not. It did not damage anything other than the way you have to push the disk tray in place. Ntohing big really. Remember, I tried it with my other game and it worked perfectly. I think it's the company or something...

EDIT: Dude, we were able to play games ever since the accident though it is harder to open and close the disk tray. My mom may call technical support later and I hope it will work! -_-

No actually this is a common problem with the game God of War 2. The developers are trying to fix this. If you have a big ps2 then it may just be out-dated. If you have to slim well then you got 1 of the problem games. The company is working hard to fix this. Do not worry. This will be fixed soon. I have recieved many complaints about this.

I got the big one. It works on my friend's PS2 though and that is a large one. We may just get a new PS2.

I think he's right Died. It makes perfect sense of what he said. Sorry about my last post. I barely play my Ps2 anymore so I don't buy new games anymore. I was just trying to help ;)
