Greetings, I am Roasty. You might remember me from such fantastic things as the MCCP R*@$T, you know, the have-fun-and-make-fun-of-people thing that didn't work out and I quit about five days into... thing. In my short time here I have discovered that you guys aren't too keen on stabbing each other in the head, but rather giving each other high fives until your hands bleed profusely and fall off. I like pain and action regardless of how it's packaged - that's why I get to be the host of the 1st Annual(?) MCCP MAPs, the only countdown whose name is pretty much a giant ugly acronym.

How does this work?
Great question. Totally not scripted, I promise. We're going to have an open submission thing here where users will be allowed to "nominate" anyone as one of the most notable, or "accredited", people on the forums. There are no restrictions, they could be someone who is still posting, hasn't posted in forever, was banned, is permabanned, left the forums, is a Moderator, whatever. Anything goes. The only person you can't nominate is Dracophile, because he would clearly take #1 and that's not fun for anybody. He gets a special shout-out, so you can give him mad props in your nominations if you like.

I don't get it.
THIS IS NOT A QUESTION BUT I WILL ADDRESS IT AS SUCH BECAUSE I AM IN A GOOD MOOD. PLUS I LOOK REALLY FANCY IN THIS TUXEDO THAT I HAVE UNTIL THE END OF THE CEREMONIES. Let me backpedal a bit and explain it a little better. Have you ever seen those shows on VH1 where they get a bunch of Z-list celebrities to sit around and count down the best rock or pop songs of a decade? That's kind of like what we're doing here. We will soon be opening the floors via a nomination thread where we will let any registered user pick FIVE PEOPLE (plus Dracophile if they feel like it) from MCCP's history. We will allow virtually anyone - the key thing we are looking for here is how notable is this person? They do not have to be in "good standing" with the forums. This is open to everyone. Good people and those we banned a million times. Vital Viper is notable because... well nobody has actually figured that out yet, but so is sebastian. Look at it this way, everytime there is something funny going on here, people assume it's sebastian. That's how much staying power he has had. He made himself known as a hacker/troublemaker and now everything is blamed on him. Dracophile has staged fake hackings where sebastian is the ringleader. These are things we are looking for - think back, way back, way back to the beginning of the forums and wisely pick five people that have left their mark (good or bad) on these forums. We picked 100 but if the list gets a lot longer then we'll change to accomodate.

Can I nominate myself?
Absolutely not. We haven't decided the proper penalty for being an attention queen. We might half your total nominations, or divide them by fifty or something. Don't do it. Find five people other than yourself worth of being noticed, and if you are worth it yourself, people will pick you based on your merits.

This also is not a question. You need to stop with this otherwise you will kill my buzz. This is not a countdown for everybody who has ever posted ever. We are here to remember everyone from the forums who put their all into making this place into the community it is. We are here to knock fists with our current juggernauts of awesome, and bow our heads to those that are no longer with us. We are not here to satisfy your need to be put into a list that you do not belong in. If you are a new user, then just be yourself. We might be doing more than one of these things. There is a whole year (or so) to better yourself and establish a name for yourself. If you want in on the list, your place is earned - not given to you.

Can I nominate someone who has already been nominated?
Yes! This will be one way we judge who is going to be ranked where, by how many times they showed up in people's nominations - and for what reason. You can pick someone who has already been mentioned, so don't worry if he/she has already been picked.

Can I pick someone who was on the old forums but doesn't post here?
Yes.

Can I pick more than 5 people?
No.

When's this gonna be done?
When it's done.

I'll make another thread specifically designated for nominations (delicious nom noms... how appropriate of Draco's title) and another for discussion, etc, whenever we're ready to go. This one is mostly just as an introduction to what were going to be doing... eventually.

This is what I hope too. There were plenty of posters who didn't rejoin the forums when they moved. It's up to the remaining forum lifers to do whats best and pick them wisely.

Yea, although looking at all the "who is your best forumer friend?" or "Who's on your friends list?" I'm pretty sure I know who will win. It kinda sucks.

Technically there are no "winners", unless you count whomever gets #1 as "the winner". We are going to consider more than simply how many times someone was nominated to do their rankings.

Srsly you can't host these awards they ruin your image all the old ladies will think you are like conan obrien and youll end in a late night show leik that guy. You were waaay better in MCCP roast.

1. But are you allowed to change your picks
2. Can you just post 1 at a time, such as Sunday: 2 Tuesday:2, and Thursday: 1?

Don't change/edit them unless you're adding more information, otherwise it's going to mess up the counts and stuff.

Me too, I can't choose 5 people at the same time. The world will fall over me if I pick 5 people (and will take me about 3 hours to pick a good reason for each nominee). D:

We will be watching them as they are posted, but there will also be a "final tally" when all is said and done.

Please don't edit/change votes.

Having the most nominations won't determine a winner, but when it comes to users of similar backgrounds it may be a deciding factor in who gets what rank.

We have no categories, it's all out. Artists compete with programmers who compete with Moderators who compete with RPers who compete with spammers who compete with tutorial/walkthrough writers.

There is two posibilities: As an user (Kinga783) nominated Coin Eater, which is you, it should count as one more vote for iWaddle. But maybe, for making an alt, that vote won't count as a new vote for iWaddle.
