To see what each program is for, you should check out the website provided. Since more then half of these programs were submitted by other forums, I myself don't know so much about of them. I'd think that most them would have versions for both Mac and PC.

What's that program with the 9 fingers on the hand as the logo?
I used it at school for art, and it had a computer pen with a pad, and you could use "pencils", "markers", "chalk", etc.
And it had cool designs you could fill in with a paint bucket.

I have some infomation for Macromedia Flash 8 & Fireworks 8,

Flash 8:
Cost ~$700US and can create games, webpages, animations , interactive things and more.

Fireworks 8:
Fireworks is a program for creating graphics or touching up photos. Cheaper than photoshop but not as good.

Flash 8 & Firworks 8are bothe part of the Studio 8 pack of 4 products (I think its 4 or 5)

I love GIMP, and am pretty pro at it. But, It is VERY hard to explain. I would recommend going to www.gimptalk.com and looking at tutorials (find some beginner tutorials) or google "GIMP Beginner help". Or, contact some other artists around the forums, a lot of them probably use GIMP.

I am not sure, but I think it may be Kidpix, which is popular with some schools.

Spem, added Babarosa.

Darkblue, 16 MB isn't THAT much, but bigger then most files.

It is 100% free, and takes a bit of space, not too much though. Follow the instructions in the first post to download it.

No. This thread isnt that much updated, and im sure the progams list Dom posted on the main topic, is good enough for everyone to see and use.
There is no need to make more threads about this, as well it sint needed to add more progams, since those are enough.

Yes. But what about the programs previously stated that have not been added onto the list. The only solution in my eyes is to remake this thread, or have a moderator update it.
