Hey guys. I sorta need help D:
I am planning to do a project, on YouTube. I need to downlaod YouTube videos to my computer for it to work. How would I be able to download them.
Preferably, I would prefer if I didn't have to download any software, but if I have to I would.
Also, how would I save them so I would be able to open them on Windows Movie Maker?
Please help!

You can download them using real player but I'm not too sure about the WMM part.

http://www.vixy.net/ (http://www.vixy.net)
http://www.downloadyoutubevideos.com/
If vixy isn't working try changing the .ie or .co.uk in the videos URL to a .com
Also they allow you to download the videos as AVI files so they should work.

To convert the video to a valid file WMM supports, go to http://media-convert.com/.

when you are at the video, paste this code into the title and press enter.
javascript:if%20(document.getElementById('download-youtube-video')==null%20&&%20!!(document.location.href.match(/http:\/\/[a-zA-Z\.]*youtube\.com\/watch/)))%20{var%20yt_mp4_path='http://www.youtube.com/get_video?fmt=18&video_id='+swfArgs['video_id']+'&t='+swfArgs['t'];%20var%20div_embed=document.getElementById('watch-embed-div');div_embed.innerHTML=div_embed.innerHTML+'%3C br%20/%3E%20%3Cspan%20id=\'download-youtube-video\'%3E%3Ca%20href=\''+yt_mp4_path+'\'%3EDownlo ad%20as%20MP4%3C/a%3E%20(right-click%20and%20select%20%3Ci%3ESave%20'+%20(navigat or.appName=='Microsoft%20Internet%20Explorer'?'tar get':'link')%20+'%20as%3C/i%3E)%3C/span%3E';}void(0);
rightclick on the link that says 'download as MP4' and click download. tada! :]
idk if mp4's work with windows movie maker though.

If you use Firefox, here's a Plug-in that's 100% safe and easy to use, I've had it for some time:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3006
You can use it on more than Youtube videos too.

I know this program called "MediaConverter" that both downloads and converts for you so no other downloads are needed:D
Here: Click! (http://www.mediaconverter.org/) When you're there, click on the Firefox add on thingy to put it at the top of your browser so you don't need to keep going to the website.

Try using this (http://youtubedownload.altervista.org/). I have used it to mix video together with. It can convert the youtube video after downloading it into, wmv, avi, mpeg, or mp3.
