I Don't Get This

In Card-Jitsu, what exactly constitutes a win? It seems to change every time. Some games I have to hat at least two wins from each to win, sometimes only one.
And a game I played about five minutes ago, I got a win from a each, didn't win. Then my opponent got a win from each, he won.
In the next game my opponent got a win from each once and won.
So how does it work?

Okay these are the ways you can win.

a fire, ice , and water . Different color cards
3 fire. different colors.
3 ice . different colors
3 water. different colors.

If you have 2 or three of the same color, you will not win.
