Well, I had to speed up a video on Windows Movie Maker. I tried to upload it on Youtube, but it said it couldn't convert the files. So, could someone help me, how do you convert video files?

YouTube accepts a wide range of video file formats such as .WMV, .AVI, .MOV and .MPG transferred from most digital cameras, camcorders and mobile phones. If you don't think that your current video file format is recognised by YouTube, you may get the best results by converting your file to MPEG4 video with MP3 audio.
Maybe your file isn't one of the above, try converting it to the best one above.

It's a .MSWMM
I know it isn't accepted by Youtube, but my question is; how DO you convert video files?

So the file is wmm. Maybe the file size is too small. How big is the file?

Do the following;
File > Save Movie File > Follow Directions on screen
That should save it as the correct YouTube file type. =]

When you go to save it, instead of actually pressing save, do this
File>Publish Movie>This Computer
Follow the directions, and it should be wmv

Thank you very much, Jpmc. It worked. :)

WinFF is a free program tool that works wonders in letting you convert video formats. I use it for all of my works because it lets you specify the bitrate and other details of the videos - which is something that might be a little advanced for what you're doing and you probably wont use it at all - but it's a nice program overall.
