What Are Referrals?

Hi, I was wondering what referrals were. I saw a moderater post before that it was nothing on the the other MC forum but im still confused. Does it mean something bad, good, other, or just a random thing you have no control over?

If you get another person to join, they put your name in a box when the register. Referrals do nothing for your account, just shows how many people you got to join.

Oh thanks. You can lock this now. That helps a lot. I was scared that I did something I have no idea about. I was freaking out. lol
