View Full Version : Sexism Against Men

I feel very strongly about this topic. I think many men in the world are being discriminated due to their gender. Yes, its true. Take this for example. At a young age, little girls are wearing t-shirts that say "Boys Are Dumb. Throw Rocks At Them", and people believe its funny. But If a t-shirt was sold saying "Girls Are Dumb. Throw Rocks At Them", there would be an outrage. The product would be called sexist. And in divorce court, 95% of the time it is women who get to keep the child, even when it is the women who abuse the children. And the mother can even stop the father from seeing them. Plus, I have even heard of women trying to murder men, but If the man tries to defends himself, he will get thrown in jail. And women murderers get out of jail more than male murderers. If you murder, you should stay there FOR LIFE

Also, girls can basically say anything these day. I've had women tell me tey would kill me, hurt my family, beat me, and other gruesome things. But if I said those things to a woman, I would get in some deep fried crap. Also, I despise femenists. Why? Well, first of all, most of them are pro-abortionists. But mostly, they say they want gender equality when they really want gender DOMINANCE. I know I am not supposed to hit a girl, but if she hits like a man, shouldn't she be ready to take it like one. This society basically caters to women. I have stated my point, and I hope I offended nobody.

Hahaha, well wait til you get a car and have to pay insurance for it.

Male insurance is severely higher than a woman's.

On the flipside, men are paid higher in the workplace than a woman is.

Well, that is true. And why is mens insurance higher than a womans?

Apparently, men are more likely to take risks. We are more dangerous then woman at an age younger than 25. If you are a female, you pay less. Less of a risk taker.

Women do have unfair advantages like in divorce the guy has to pay the girl. I don't get that and I don't think it's fair.
Also feminists annoy the crap out of me.

I don't really feel strongly about this kind of thing though. In my opinion you should just be ok with what you're born as and play whatever role that is. It doesn't really bother me that men are the main gender.

Yes, I agree with you on most of the points you made. It's been overlooked just because women have been mistreated in the past. People just assume it doesn't exist.

Men might experience some sexism, but not NEARLY as much as women do. I'm not just saying this because I'm a female, it's because of what I've seen in my life. I've very rarely seen men sexism, but it does exsist. It's like women are weaker than men or not as hard of workers as them, which makes them a target for sexism. However, women tend to make bigger deals of these types of insultations.

I feel just about the same way about racism.
I don't really have problems with the other gender, though i get your point.
The sad fact of life is- there will never be equality, no matter how much you try. The innocent will die, and the guilty will be shown pitty. Not always this way, but crap happens.

There is something severely wrong with our society. You are right. Also, to answer your question, Men have to pay higher insurance because men tend to drive fast to impress their friends, hence more accidents.

Welcome to the post-women's rights era. =O
Women actually do deserve more respect than men. That is why most of us are taught to be polite to them. I really don't think that it needs to be questioned. Respect for women is something that is natural...been around for a very long time. I do understand the frustration with feminists. Most of us understand that, even some women! There are many of us who are pro-life and do not agree with them, but that would cause a much larger debate. =P. An abusive mother would not keep her children after a divorce. They do usually get their children because it is the husband who is working 95% of the time and they must pay child support as they did when the family was together.

Conclusion: Women should be treated with respect, paid fairly, but should not claim gender equality and be selfish when they want only certain rights. For example, some want abortion and some don't want to be drafted into the military. So how are they going to be equal when they don't want to be in certain respects?

Kogeck, I agree with you. I think that woman have a lot more sexist situations. They get raped, peeped on by perverts, and they are sometimes talked about as if they were a peace of meat.

But on the other hand, men are close to being victimized as much. For example, today in english, yes today, I sit behind a girl. She walks up and is yelling at me because I bumped her with my elbow on accident. So she decides to slap me across the face. I told my english teacher, because I can't hit her, do to the fact that I would never hit a girl. So the teacher tells me that I probably deserved it. Also, some women demand to be treated equally, yet if I used self defense on the girl in english and busted her in the mouth, she would be screaming a trying to have me thrown in jail. And if they want to preach about how some men grab their "booty" is sexual harrasment, then they shouldn't grab mens.

I am not saying this is all woman, I am saying some. But just some things you see everyday can be sexist and you don't even know it.

In conclusion, both woman and men are victimized. Women tend to be victimized more, but
men get victimized almost as much. This concludes my long report that nobody will read

Rape, and being peeped on is not sexism. Those are just crimes. Being called a piece of "meat" isn't really sexist either. Sexism is discriminating based off sex. Being paid less for the same job because you are a woman is being sexist.

In the world between a man and woman is not meant to be equal. This world would be terrible if the world was equal between sexes. There are somethings that women are going to be better at and some things that men are gonna be better at.

Feminism is stupid. They blinding attack everything that is "unjust" when in reality, men are just meant to be dominate. But they dont say a thing about things that women are better than men. Its a one way street.

Basically, not everything is supposed to be equal. That is a fact. Men will be better in somethings, women are going to be better in others.

I don't believe that women should treat men badly. But I do believe (unless terribly provoked) that men should treat women with utmost respect! But the shirts are just over the top, I can't stand those things. My sister bought some but my mom said she needed to get rid of them. I believe there is male sexism, but not as bad as women sexism. I think some girls just need to stand up for themselves, same with some guys. But most girls can get away with anything just because the are, well, girls!

i mean why cant men also have rights alone

you have seen movies right where they show babies naked and we can see the thing we are not supposed to see. but if the baby is a girl they dont show that part or the just give her clothes.
i mean when the kid grows up he will be laughed at by everyone coz hes you know what got on to the silver screen.

This just states that girls are better than guys =pp EHHHHHHH! Jk, but, yes I know.. having 3 brothers,I can understand. No matter how you look at it, there will be some level of sexism against both sexes around the world that is uncomprehendable. Face the facts and deal with it.
As I'm a female, and have grown up with all brothers and guy friends, I have been prejudized against because I was a girl. They never fully let me play ''their'' games because they thought I couldn't handle it all, when I could; and they all thought it was a ''guy'' sport. It really ticked me me off >=[ Very good guy friends of me, although I'm a girl treat me like a guy SOMETIMES, they still beat me up and I now get to play almost anything with them and stay with them without it being awkward (although now I'm in love with one of the guys) So there's up and down issues to the whole matter.

However, men cannot have rights when it comes to abortion seeing how... they got a different structure. :P

And if you drafted women, then you have the whole issue of where the children go after both their parents have been drafted.

And I think you would agree that most men would want to go to war instead of making their wives fight it. Most would want their wife to stay with their children and take care of them.

I agree. There was this girl who insulted my friend constantly (he really isn't the sort of person that would do something to offend them in the first place), then he insulted her once (called her fat or something, can't remember) after weeks of this and she got so angry, as if it was completely just for her to, but not him.
I've seen those shirts, also.

As with men, they're usually stereotyped as fat, balding, ape-like idiots, which really isn't fair at all. There is a lot more gender equality these days than a long time ago, but sexism has become such an outrage among women that sexism against men goes unnoticed

Btw, I have no idea what the poll question means. You've worded it wrong.

Yinyang15
17 October 2008, 03:05 PM
Yes it does happen. Around here it happens more than sexism towards women. We have to treat them specially, we can't do anything to them. We cannot fight them, we cannot offend them verbally without getting into heaps of trouble, yet a girl can hit, punch, and kick a male and just be told to stop. They can call us all kinds of things, say extremely nasty and inappropriate things, but the slightest response will get us in deep trouble.
Women shouldn't "be treated with respect" if they can't respect men. We should all have the same rights, nothing special for women.
I think it is all a load of crap if you ask me. Seriously, ESPECIALLY divorce. You almost always hear the daughter going home with the mother, whether or not she abused her or not. Now I do not hate women, but I just cannot stand it when they expect to be treated better than men. I don't care what gender (or race for that matter) you are. You are no more of a human than the next, so you shouldn't expect to be treated with more respect than another.
I've got one question, why do women deserve more respect? It is not "just because they are women". I want to know if anybody can come up with a real answer that isn't a joke.
Great topic you've got here, it really got me thinking (no sarcasm:) )
EDIT:Wanted to make this clear. Women do deserve every right that a man has, just no more than them. They should be payed the same, treated the same, etc.

I agree. At my school, girls can say what they want, and boys get killed if they say something aimed towards girls in a joke. Although boys at our school wont insault girls because there clearly is no point. Girls do for some reason. I see what your saying.

Icy Joe 8
17 October 2008, 04:41 PM
I understand what you're saying.

At my school, our bus driver (who is male by the way) frequently has "Ladies' Day" where all the girls get to go on the bus first. He assumes that all the boys like to push to get on the bus, and that the girls always have to get on last. I think this is sort of sexist. This may not seem like a big problem, but when people get these kind of ideas, the problems can become bigger. This is a form of punishing a group of people based on a few people's actions, which happens at schools a lot, and which I feel very strongly against.

I understand that girls/women are discriminated against. However, I do not like it how many adults take female discrimination seriously, but take it humorously when a guy complains about being discriminated against.

Your saying calling a woman a piece of meat is not sexist? I don't think someone would say that to a man. Same with peeping. Those crimes don't happen to men. I think all my points are made correctly.

It truely depends on the situation, it can be both sexist and harrasment.

Remember, sexism is discriminating against someone becuase of their sex. Peeping at a girl is NOT sexism. Saying you dont get to vote because your a girl is sexism. Saying you dont get to play football because your a girl is sexism. Saying a father can't take a leave of absense for a baby being born but girls do is sexist.

And yes, those crimes do happen to men. Not as much, but they do happen. Your points were not made correctly.

"??????", what are you talking about? What do you mean "how does that make me feel?" If you read what i said it that its not going to be equal because there are things that women are dominate in and somethings that men are dominate in. Why did you bring up animals?

The only reason some girls are sexist against men is because some men are sexist towards them. It may not be the only reason but I think that men (not all men just the horrible ones) are sexist towards girls. For instance, girls cant play football, you cant join our club its for clever people only. Stuff like that.

And by the way i've seen a man wear a t shirt saying boys are dumb.
