In GIMP, when you are typing text be sure that you have the option "Antialising" checked. It makes the text less blocky/pixely. By the way, some of those are pretty nice, good job.

Leo, how do you make it like in your signature with the black and then the really cool blue background. I don't know how you do those backgrounds. (I might as well post this in Gimp help, but they wouldn't know what I was talking about).

Really? To me it doesn't look like a C4D. Brushed, and then colorized.
