Background of the icons on my desktop is not transparent anymore.Their text is covered with a dark blue box.Help pleas.
I was playing with my desktop preferences,and this happened.:(

No, I changed the color to black, then green, and now white, but its still the same.It looks ugly :(

Did you do it in 'properties > appearance'? You might have changed it to a new color scheme.

Right click on the desktop, go to properties, appearance, effects. Now it should be fixed.

That happened to me before. I can't exactly remember what I did, but I -think- I did a System Restore to an earlier time.

Click on "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts." Check it if it is unchecked. Now it should fix your problem.

There's two things that you could've done to get this problem.
The first method to fix it:
Right click your desktop > Arrange Icons By> and if "Lock Web Items on Desktop" is checked, un-check it.
The second method:
Right click your desktop > Properties > Desktop > Color
Then change the color that's in the box.

There is no transparent color in there.:confused:
I tried everything you said,ıt's still the same.
