If there is one thing every penguin misses, it's go to be the "good ol' times" of Club Penguin. Penguins were treated equally, hackers, "rare“ and “famous” penguins didn't have other penguins crowding around them, and old items weren't brought back. Club Penguin videos were all the rage, the dojo was still considered "secret," and Mammoth was almost always full.

Those times brought happiness to all penguins. There were great parties which never happened twice! Loads of free and spending items! There was get new things happening every week of the month!

I deleted alot of pics. Is October 2006 considered the good ol times? I think it is.

I remember those times. In november i went to youtube and there wasent harly no cp vids. Well.. there was vids but cool vids. Unlike now. Now they have vids of cp but have music all over it.

The dojo harly had no one. No hackers. The censorship wasent as horrible as now (Back then you can put numbers and stuff), No penguins calling each other newbs and were treated fairly. Disney dident own cp. and more.

I remember those. I remember when you could just be walking around and you could sit for a pizza and you could just make a friend, instead of someone giving you a heart to go out with you.

Not ment to "shoot" down this thread, but the reason noone was crowding around each other was because everyone had the same items. Old items are ment to come back. Screenhog has already informed on that. And even in "the good old days" items came back. Club Penguin videos are still being made. More people have made more videos. Mammoth is full in "the present". Parties sometimes come with new items. If Cp doesnt bring back parties, we would not have a anniversy party. The would have ran out of "party" ideas by now if they didnt redo parties. There were a total of 10 (im not sure about the blue hoodie, so i didnt add it) new free items in this month's catalog + the new wigs. There are new things happening everyday on cp, go on a server. There will be people talking, saying "Coffee Shop At My Igloo", People doing hearts, and etc.

Thats odd, the picture seems to be broken.

Another reason people hadn't become as "rare" as there were less people to be "rarer than"

I completely disagree. You must know almost nothing about the REAL old times.

Yes, there was a time that I didn't have crowds but that was long before the time you are referring to. There was popularity and there always will be. As for rare items there were rare items back then to, one of which will never be returned (Beta Hat) and the Red Lei that has yet to be brought back. Club Penguin videos are still very popular, now more than ever. You would have a much better argument if you said ''secret agents use to actually be a secret'' because they were, you even had to complete a small essay about why you wanted to be an agent, and there was a Mancala board in the HQ. I the REAL 'Good ol Days' Mammoth didn't even exist yet.

I would like to argue that NOW is the greatest CP has ever been, and your next few points prove MY point.

-Parties were actually much smaller and less interactive back then. Remember when we voted to bring back a party? The western part won, and they brought it back almost exactly the same as it was. I STILL remember the complaining from that party. People saying how simple and how little there was to do with it. Take the resent sports party for example. If you were around for the VERY first sports party you would know how much MORE CP did this time! The parties have gotten better and better and BETTER!!!

-Loads of free items? You CANT be serious! When we did have a party back then there was almost always ONE free item. Pins didn't exist and neither did Backgrounds. And most of the time when you got a free item it was a hat! I remember my nonmember account having almost nothing but hats, so even if you had been around a while all you could show for it was what hat you wore. Nonmembers have it better now than they did ever before. I still remember when you couldn't own or even walk puffles.

-Spending? Yea you really did have to spend back then. I remember when they cut igloo prices almost in HALF!!! Thats right, back in the day you had to spend twice as much for a deluxe igloo, and that's the only igloo choice you even had!

-Things happening every week? Maybe the newspaper! Back then there were only a few catalogs, and those were basically the only things worth looking forward to. You didn't have updates like the stage that would bring a whole new room for you every month. There is MUCH more going on in the CP world now than ever before!

-There are also TONS more games on CP now than there were before. Not to mention all the rooms that Club Penguin has come out with.

Be careful what you wish for my friend, if CP did go back to the way it use to be no one would be happy.

We have the event log for a reason ;)
