The title says it all. I have got a 2.2GHz Dual Core CPU, and 958MB of RAM, it is quite a good system in my opinion. Today morning my PC is so much slow that it takes around a minute to open a folder! The booting was fast and clean as always, ubt it is too much slow! Right now I have got the Windows Task Manager open, telling me that the CPU usage is 9%, while the RAM once had gotten up to 98%! I cannot understand what is happened to my computer, I just want for the computer to be fast once again and let me play a normal game!
Oh btw, sometimes the RAM goes down to 25%, but then it would re-jump up to mid-90's!
Please, I'm begging you, any help?

Sounds like a virus. Better get your computer scanned.

I completely agree with you, John.
Floppy: Get a Mac or try to get it repaired somehow. Unless you can somehow make that RAM usage go down, I don't know what else to tell you.

Hmm.. It may either be "zero day"virus, or you have too much files in your pc. How much free memory have you got in your local drive?

Ok, I'll get a copy of Nod32, I heard that it is a bomb!

Sorry sir, but I'm not gonna change my opinion.

Thanks anyway..

I have got 3 drives actually
-C drive = 32.1/116GB
-H drive = 116/116GB
-J drive = 18GB/80GB
J drive is full of games for PS2 and PC
EDIT: What is a zero day virus anyway?

A Zero day virus is a previously-unknown computer virus or other malware for which specific antivirus software signatures are not yet available.
Traditionally, antivirus software relies upon signatures to identify malware. This can be very effective, but cannot defend against malware unless samples have already been obtained and signatures generated. Because of this, signature-based approaches are not effective against zero-day viruses.
Most modern antivirus software still use signatures, but also carries out other types of analysis.

Wow... I'm amazed...
Oh btw I was away for a sec, and now the PC is OK...
You know something? I think I've gotta try a Mac someday, although I've seen guides on the internet to have any Windows OS and a Mac OS on the same computer...
I think I'm gonna search for that guide...

You can run OS X and Windows on a Mac.

That'd work if he has the money. The cheapest Mac costs 600 bucks and it's not even that good - a gig of memory, an 80GB hard drive, 1.83GHz processor, that's not a great deal, especially the part of upgrading the memory requires $100 for another gig. Mac and PC are just as good if compared to me, the only difference to me is the price.
As for the slowing down problem, try defragmenting your hard drive. You need 15% of it to be empty, but I bet that you do. If that doesn't work, you've got a virus and you might need to wipe your hard drive in the worst case scenario.

But on a PC, you cannot run them both! ;) BTW, like John-h said, you can easily change operating system, and well... for free

Sounds like Spyware to me. Or maybe you just have to many processes running. I dunno.

A opened folder looks like lots of processes?
