snes help

I just found an old snes in my basement it's all hooked up to my tv it had no games so before I waste my time and money getting some can some one tell me if the screen is supposed to be blue when its turned on without a game inside

If you are able to turn it on and there is power running to it then it looks like you're good. You can get some SNES games pretty cheap for about a buck online for something really common/lame like a basketball game or something. You can use that to fully test the system.
