MCCP forum (D/P) monotype tournament?

Ok guys lately i have been thinking of making a diamond and pearl mono tournament, i will post the rules and some information then if enough people are interested (about 5 at least, more would be great!) then i will give a couple of days to train then the tournement will start, if its only a few people it will be a round robin but if we get enough we will have a knock out.

Now thats out of the way here is what an actual mono tournament is.
A mono tournament, also referred to as a type tournament is where everybody chooses one type (e.g fire, grass, water) then they must have a whole 6 team pokemon that is either that type of half that type, for example if you choose electric you can have electric/steel and so on. Once a player has posted what type they want nobody else can be that type it is taken, so everybody has a different type and nobody has the same type so we dont end up with 10 people have fire and 1 person having grass, because its kind of unfair for the guy who has grass :rolleyes:
In each battle you can use the same or different pokemon you used in another battle but they all still have to be the type that you choose.

In this tournement there are only two rules but if you break any of them you will be disqualified.

1. No hacked pokemon.
It just ruins the tournament if someone works really hard training then you just use your fire punch krabby to one hit KO them.

2. All your pokemon must be half or the type you choose
This tournament is only for the same type teams so if you pick water and you have a pikachu hidden away in your team you will be disqualified even if you win and if you do win the person you beat advances instead of you.

So now you know how it works post here if you have questions or if you are interested then once enough people respond i will make a thread with more details and announce when the tournament starts.

77Pudding = Steel
Domination = Flying

This will be a round robin tournament so everybody will play everybody and score points on the result.

Win = 3 points
Draw = 2 points
Lose = 1 point

You have until tomorrow to fight your matches and post back here the result, If you cannot do it today for any reason just tell me and you get another 24 hours, if you do not complete it by then you forfeit the match and score 0 points, and your opponet gets 3 points for winning.

Legendaries are allowed and if you are definetly going to participate post your type here.

Explain what secondary type steel is? I guess its ok if you choose electric and they are all electric/steel. Basically all your pokemon can be half steel if the other type is what you choose so what should i put you down for?

Im not sure, four is enough for a round robin but a couple more would be good. I also want people to have time to train their team (including me :))

No all of your team needs to be or be half of the type that you choose and steel is taken.

uhh, yeah i suppose you could have as many as the same pokemon as you want on your team.

I am glad to accounce the first ever MCCP forum diamond/pearl monotype tournament will start tomorrow!

For the first matches names will be picked out of a hat (by me) tomorrow and people will be paired leaving one person out every round. Upon the announcement of who will play who you have 24 hours to organise when you will fight your opponent. If you cannot fight on that day for any reason notify me and you will be given extra time, After 2 days the person who asked for time but did not fight within the extra 24 hours will get an automatic lose and recieve no points.

Remember it is your responsibility to organise your matches.

Ah it was close at first but your starmie ice beam was just too much. :)

Offtopic, can you help me about egg moves?

For example say i have a lickitung and i want to breed with something and i found a list of egg moves and the one i want to teach is substitute, how do i make the lickitung learn substitute when it hatches if thats what it means.

You need a male Pokemon that knows substitute and breed it with a female Lickitung with it and you will get one with Substitute.

Well, if we have to have legendaries, can we do it one per team? I really dislike battling with legendaries/ubers. If we can have one, I have one that I wouldn't mind to use just to balance all the teams out.
