Anyone agree?
I WOULD LOVE IT.
It would be the best CP has ever done.

This has been posted many times before, please search. And it would not be fair, because someone may have an item they may not realize is rare and trade it for something totally useless. Besides, the whole thing would be way too complicated.

I e-mailed CP about this maybe a week or so ago:
Hello Thehuskerdu,
As of right now, there is not a feature that allows penguins to trade items,
but I would be so stoked to see it in the future!
If there is anything else we can do to assist you, let us know and we will be
happy to help.
Have a great day!

Dear Club Penguin Staff,
I can't remember if in any of the blogs or in things I've read if we will ever
be able to trade items via Penguin Mail. I know now that you can send postcards
to people that are offline and that's a really awesome feature, but I was
curious to know if we will ever be able to trade/donate clothes to friends on
Club Penguin, or will that not happen because of possible hackers? Thank you
for answering this. :)
Sincerely,
Thehuskerdu
Club Penguin never answers my questions straight forward.

There would be scammers. Scammers + Children = Angry Kids.

It has been posted many times before. And it would be hard for CP to do.

CP would never do it. There would be a lot of penguins saying "This item is rare who wants it" and you could give out the Beta Tester's Hat. That would be lying.

I think it would be a good idea if there were restrictions such as, you can not trade pins, and special items.
and also, if you were to trade a member item like clothes, with a non member, that item would be faded-out, as they are when you loose membership.
another multiplayer game that i go on has the feature and it's pretty cool.

This is a question that has come up a lot, and one of the big things keeping it from happening is because it would be the first time (besides igloos) that there would be a way to lose items.
Consider this: someone has a Club Penguin account, tells his buddy the username and password. Then, for some reason, these two people stop being friends, so his buddy goes online as him and trades away all of his stuff.
It's stuff like that that make it very difficult to add trading. It becomes very easy to abuse the system.

ya if people do not tell their password to their friends, we might have it by now, or not i don't know.

I was going to say something like this, but I see Screenhog has already said it for me.
One thing he didn't mention is that someone could also be scammed for an item in a trade.
