I don't use GIMP, but you probably would need to get a separate animation program. I don't think there is an animation option on GIMP.I would recommend animation shop 3.

When you save your document, you save it as a '.gif'. Then export it, and there should be an option that says 'loop infinite'.

I haven't tried Little Milky's way, but this is mine:

You make frames of what you want your animation to be like. When you make a new layer for your frame, you have to say how many milliseconds long you want it to be. When you put your new layer's name, put in parenthesis how many milliseconds long you want it to be. Make sure that's after it. Also, make sure you make the new layers, "white," and not transparent or anything else. If you need to use transparent or another option, you still can, but in most cases you would need a new layer that is white. Once you have all the frames, you can go to 'Filters,' 'Animation,' 'Playback,' and that will show you your new animation. Save it as a Gif, and then click 'Export.'

Hope this helps.;)
