He also changes them after he rates them if you want to.

i talked to that old guy and he says that, the name is truely immpacable name and then it says take good care

If you migrated a pokemon from your game paks (pokemon saphire, etc), or got it from the GTS or a trade, he will say that, and won't let you rename it. A pokemon can only be renamed there if the original owner is you. ;)

The orginal trainer, (Check the first page of the Pokemon summary) must be you. If you got it in a trade, return it to the owner and get them to rename it. If you migrated it, then too bad. ;)

He says that if you traded to get the Pokemon. There is no way to change it.
EDIT: Oh, I'm wayyy late on that one.
