What is this story?
This is load.swf/past, a story I (formerly Kittens & Cats) created to bring a little action and story onto this forum (not the entire forum, just the "Fan art and stories" forum). Joepeng, the main character, was in Clubpenguin one day and fell through the Pizza Parlor floor, thus causing him to faint. When he woke up, he found himself trapped under the floor, which was suddenly fixed. He found his way out through an underground tunnel and was in the Cave, where he climbed up to the surface above. He found he had been sent back in time. Through many more events he was sent to a distant island where he is now, which we will soon find is not what he, Juniper and Blaaack thought it was. Chapter 1: No escape
The sun was beating down on the soft sand below. It had been one year since the attack on Clubpenguin, and since Joepeng, Juniper and Blaaack had left the island as a family to live on a distant island.
"So," Blaaack said, "what are you thinking about now?" Joepeng sat quietly at their dinner table, silent with his plate un-touched. His flippers were on the table so he sat in the 'I'm thinking very hard right now' position.
"Come on, Joepeng, eat your food." Juniper was a bit worried because this was the second day Joepeng had done this.
"If you do we'll go to the Icecream Parlour and get some vanilla-swirl icecream for dessert!"
"No thank you," Joepeng said in a whisper, "I'm still not very hungry."
With that remark, Joepeng left the dinner table and headed upstairs to his room. Juniper and Blaaack heard a thud and knew that he had slammed his door.
"I'm a bit..." Juniper started, but was interrupted by Blaaack.
"Don't be worried about Joepeng, he's just upset because he hasn't gotten a response from Rockhopper island. He worries for his family."
"But what if this continues? What will happen then?" Juniper had a worried tone. This had happened only once before on Clubpenguin island and that's what led them to the island they were currently on.
"Another island," Blaaack said in a sarcastic tone.
"This isn't funny, Blaaack." Juniper went from worried to strict.
"Relax, when he gets the response we'll be back to normal! He is just afraid that they aren't ok, which I'm sure they are; load.swf/past cut off all transportation, but Rockhopper came to get them. Load.swf/past didn't even know Rockhopper was there until later!"
The conversation stopped with that. Juniper stood up and left the table in a hurry, went onto the back porch and slammed the door.
"Crap," said Blaaack, "I forgot... man, I can be dumb."
"Don't punish yourself, let's go while she's not looking." Blaaack turned around to see Joepeng with a bag around in his flipper.
"Are you kidding me?" Blaaack was angry now. "You want to leave Juniper here?"
"She's a road block, Blaaack, ever since her boyfriend died in that fight when Rockhopper was there. She won't fight and we need a fighter."
Blaaack was furious now.
"So you suggest I leave my PSA partner just because she's upset and can't fight?!"
"I think I can re-call one time you two tried to run away from me, actually, am I much different from Juniper? No, now shut up and let's go."
Blaaack turned his head to the porch, where Juniper was still gazing into the sky.
"Fine, what do you have in that bag?"
"Our clothes and some food, that good?"
"Yeah, let's go," responded Blaaack, and they ran out the door.
Blaaack and Joepeng ran down the beach, peering back to see if Juniper was behind them. No sign of little Miss Emotional Girl. That was good for them, too, because if she found them they would be hurt. Really hurt.
"What do you suggest we do if she catches up to us?" Blaaack asked in a funny tone.
"Throw a pair of shoes back behind us to distract her." Both of the penguins were laughing then, so hard they had to stop to catch their breath.
Then, the un-thinkable happened.
Three feet behind them was an angry Juniper with two ropes, running top speed.
"Oh," said Blaaack,
"crap." Joepeng finished what Blaaack couldn't say.
Before they could get up to run again, Juniper kicked both of them and tied them to a palm tree.
"Wow, you guys though you could run, couldn't ya?" Juniper mocked them.
"Uhh... no, we were just going to the store," replied Blaaack.
"Yeah, right," said Juniper, "have fun sleeping out here."
"BUT WHAT ABOUT OUR BEDROOMMMMMMSSSS," whined Joepeng.
"If you can untie yourself, you can sleep in them. Otherwise,"
Juniper ran twelve feet away.
"GOOODDD NNIIIIGGGHHHT!" Juniper yelled this in a mocking tone and ran into the horizon.
"She gets on my nerves sometimes," said Joepeng.
Then, both of them waited.
And waited.
And waited.
And waited until it became impossible, and they went to sleep.
They hoped she would come back.

Chapter 2: The letter from Rockhopper Island
Joepeng woke up the next morning on the hot, soft sand. It was odd that he wasn't still on the tree.. was this another attack!? Furthermore, where's Blaaack?! Ahh man, this could get bad.
"Blaaack," said Joepeng, "where are you..?" Joepeng stood up and looked over to where they docked the boat. The boat was still there... thanfully. Joepeng looked over to their house. All of the lights were on.
"Oh they better not be..." Joepeng started running toward their home quickly with an angry look on his face.
"If they are..."
Joepeng ran up to the front door, panting, and threw it open.
Two penguins on their couch.
Five penguins in the kitchen getting snacks.
Three penguins dancing.
Four penguins watching TV.
And two very familiar penguins popping balloons.
"BLLLLLLAAAAACCCKKK, JUNNNIIPPPEEERRR!!!" Joepeng was yelling-- no, screaming, at the top of his lounges now.
The two penguins on the couch got quiet.
The five penguins in the kitchen getting snacks hushed.
The three dancing penguins fell and shut up.
The four penguins watching TV turned the TV down. Then, they turned it off.
And two very familiar penguins stopped popping balloons.
"What are you doing... without me?" Joepeng was angry and sad. Angsad.
"It's just a party, dude," replied Blaaack.
"Without me, what were you---"
"You got this letter," said Juniper, "we thought it would be best if you were calm when you read it. It came last night so we untied you."
"But why did you throw a party?"
"We just wanted to have fun," responded Blaaack.
"I'm going to read my letter," said Joepeng, and he slammed the door and went back outside.
The letter was in a pearly-white envelope sealed with a scarlet-red seal. What could be inside this envelope, thought Joepeng. I'm sure it's something good.
Joepeng opened the envelope and pulled the letter out. The letter read:
Dear Joepeng,
Hello me lad. Tis' I, Rockhopper, with some important news. Everyone is a'ight on me island, but we be goin' ta Clubpenguin Island fer some battle. Yer family be choosin' to fight with me; they be a good bunch. Will you join us?
Joepeng fell to the sand. He started feeling dizzy... his family was going to fight? What did all of this mean? Was he supposed to fight? Could he call for help from other islands to help his family? What was Rockhopper thinking? Just then, Joepeng knew what he had to do.
Joepeng opened the door to his home quietly this time and tried not to disturb the party guests. Are these idiots still here, Joepeng thought. Joepeng ran to the wooden stairs and went up to his room, where luckily, no one was. Everyone was down stairs.. that was good. He grabbed the bag from the previous night (Juniper or Blaaack must have stolen it) and added a few more things. A shirt, an apple, his beanie hat, and oh yeah, his knife with a daggar. Did I mention he was going to attempt to kill load.swf/past?
Joepeng ran down the hot, white sand on the beach toward their dock. Pit pat, pit pat, pit pat. The sound of rain. Not now, he thought. Guess I'll have to live with it.
Joepeng climbed into the Hyrdo Hopper-styled boat and put his bag in the compartment (mostly used for fishing rods and bait). He cleared out the boat of any useless items and untied it from their dock. Then, he turned on the motor and left.
Gone like the wind.

The day was nearing its end; Joepeng was beginning to grow tired of this. The sun was setting over the horizon and storm clouds were building overhead.
"Man oh man," said Joepeng, as his boat started to slow down. "Tell me I'm not out of gas."
