1 The Club Name
The name of your club/ what the club does is very important. Let's say someone wants to join a club and they go to clubs and teams. A normal person would look at the first page of clubs and see what club sounds the funnest or most exciting. You want something catchty that will catch the eye of the person looking at the clubs. And make sure the name is something you can keep under control.
2 Making The Thread
Making the thread is kind of important. The most important part of making the thread is the first paragraph. Ususally people read the first paragraph of your thread and start judging it. Make sure the first thing you write on your thread is interesting and to the point. A long thread or a short thread some people ask. It doesent matter. As long as the majority of your thread is interesting, people will reply and hopefully want to join.
3 Advertising
After making the thread it is good to advertise right away. If your skilled at Photoshop or Paint, make your own siggy or avatar. If you can't use any programs very well then ask someone else to do it. And there are also plently of siggy/avvy shops on forums. Advertising also means putting a link to it. In your signature its good to put a link. If you cant follow these instructions:
1. Go to your club's main homepage/thread.
2. Highlight the URL adress at the top of the page.
3. Copy and Paste it.
4. Go to edit signature.
5. Click the icon above the typing part that looks like the earth and some paperclips
6. A pop-up box should pop up. Paste the Url adress in the box.
7. Hit ok and a lot of words will come up in your signature.
8. Finish editing your signature and you should be able to click on a link to the clubs's thread
4. Posts on your thread
After a while you should start getting posts on your thread. Fallow this chart to keep the thread organized and running about the posts:
Post saying its against the rules = Fix the problem they mentioned.
Post wanting to join= Add there name to the list as one of the starting ranks
Post wanting to join as a high rank= This part is up to you. Theres no guide for this ques.
Spamming= Report post
Someone saying "this wont last long"= ignore it and dont say anything about it.
5. Allies/Enemies
Allies and enemies are something very important to chose. If your a club thats allies or enemies with noone or everyone then dont bother reading this part. Picking allies is sort of easy. Its good to try to be allies with any club that asks. If theres a really good team like the acp then try asking them to be allies with you. Choosing enemies is tough. You want to be enemies with someone if you find out there a lier or something. But dont try to be enemies with any team for no reason. And never try to get on the bad side of really cool/strong teams.
6. Starting Off/Thread Dying
Starting off, clubs are very hard to do. People always post bad comments on new threads and its rough. Make sure you dont give up if nobody is joining. Make sure you wait a long time until your thread is like 8 pages back before giving up. If your the last post and you want your thread to go back up without double posting, maybe ask a friend on cp or something to post on it. If a thread is dying keep trying until your sure nobody cares about it anymore.
7. Friends
It's good to have a friend or a lot of friends help you with a team or club. Maybe have some friends use a siggy or an avvy for your club. If they can make siggys or avvys. Friends are very good to have.
8 Co Leader
Make sure only the most trusted people can be co leaders. Usually let your old buddies or one of your closest pals be co leader. Dont let a stranger be co leader. If its a stranger who you dont know they might forget about you and the club. If your co leaders or high ranked members forget about the club remove them and let someone trusted be co leader.
9. club under control
Keeping the club under control is good. If too many people go crazy or yell at eachother, remove them from the club immediatly. Dont care about removing someone from the list if there out of control. Dont be crazy about getting members like acef596. Its ok to take someone off the club if they get mad at you or be mean to other members of the club.
10. When Your A Big Success
When your a big success dont be worried at all. When you have a lot of members dont be afraid at all to kcik someone off for braking the rules. When your club is big and popular you should feel very in charge and proud. Once your well-known you should go on cp and talk to your team members in a very in charge way. Just dont be bossy just cause you have a popular club or people will quit. When you have a big club feel proud and get really involved in the club.
11. Club Parties
When your team does something really good or reaches a certain goal. It is usually the leader's responsibility to hold the party because they are like the master of the team. Just make sure the party isnt boring and make sure you always keep the party going.
12. When Club Is Embarreset
Sometimes when a club doesent accomplish something or loses a fight there club is sometimes made fun of. If someone insults your club dont be mad, just report them and ignore it.
13 Kepping Club Active
Make sure your member are active. Theres no point in having 100 members if only 10 of them actually perticipate. Make sure you have meetings and many events for every member of your team to keep them interested.
14 Meetings
Make sure you have meetings every now and then. Like i said in 13 its good to keep your members active. Meetings are the perfect way to discuss facts and keep members active.
15 Army Making
Making armies is a lot different then making a normal clan. Having an army means you must have people supply you with weapons. You must be fair when you lose. You have to be merciless and good with buisness skills. Make sure you try to have a lot of ally teams when making an army.
16 People Quiting?
Sometimes people will think your club is boring and quit it. That's why its good to keep members active and keep the club fun. If 1 or 2 people quit, don't be scared or angry. The only reason to worry is if like 75% of the club quit.
17 Battle Challenge
Sometimes if someone will get angry with you or somebody in your club. They might challenge you to a fight. If you except is up to you. Remember the game is just pixel snowballs. If your an army leader it would be wise to try and show up. People usually think of you as a coward if your in an army and you dont fight. But if your a non-fighting club then just say no thanks.
18 Peacful or Fighting?
The big question is should I make a peacful non-fighting club? Or should i make an army or fighting club. The choice is yours. The biggest club in cp may be non-violent but there are army clubs with 300 members. Many violent people like army clubs. Many pay for fun people like entertaining clubs. The choice is yours.
19 Wanting Stuff From You
When A club wants something they usually ask the leader. Some things they want arent needed. Make sure you dont just say ok if your scared they'll quit if you say no. Some things are a good idea and cool to approve. Just be sure you actuallly think "Is it a good idea?"
20 forgetting important stuff
Lets say your leader of a club and one day you get on and people keep saying you forgot an important meeting. If your a leader you have a big responsibility. Many people on your team/club will keep telling you. It's ok if you forget something, but try to remember.
21 remembering stuff
Its good to remember meetings, parties and club events. I suggest having some type of calendar where you write down cp events. Or put a note in front of the computer reminding you about something. If you forget something important then 20 (above) will happen.
22 Im bored with the club.
If your bored with a club or team and decided you dont like it anymore, dont just close it. If you have a lot more members that still like it, gie the club to your co leader. If you just close it and you might lose the trust of some of your members. Then if you make another club they might not trust you to keep it open.
23 I have to close the club
If you have to clsoe the club for some reason heres how you do it:
1. Make 1 last post on the thread saying your closing it and to please dont post there anymore
2. Edit the thread and just make it say: This is closed now due to certain reason. Please dont post here anymore. I might make another club in the future.
3. Take away all your advertisements and ask your friends to stop advertising for it.
4. Take away any additional type of club symbol
24 Should i let people double club
Double club means that people are in another club along with yours. Many people don't let their members double club. Theres a reason. People think if your involved with another club they might forget about the first club. I personally think you should let people double club because they might see the thread and already be part of another club. But the choice is yours. I just suggest letting them double club with only 1 or 2 other teams. That way its balanced.
25 Double Posting To Bump A Thread
A lot of leaders double post as the thread's first reply just to bump it. They usually say something like "will anyone join" or "someone join please." Doing this is BAD. Someone might post on the thread and tell you to not double post/triple post which ruins the threads first couple posts. Maybe if theirs a friend you know in real life that gets on forums, ask them to reply for you and make a comment.
26. Fake People
Some leaders add fake people to their member list to make their club seem bigger. DO NOT do this. If someone asks you and some of your troops to come to some kind of meeting, they wont come and youll lose people's club trust. It may make your club seem bigger, but it hurts you in the end.
27 Club Rules:
Make sure your thread has club rules. Makes sure they involve stuff like no fighting with team mates and that kind of stuff. That keeps the club under control
28 Thread Rules:
Just like #27 you should have rules. Your thread rules should have stuff like no flaming, no spamming and that kind of stuff. This isn't the same as club rules.
Thread Rules:
1. No spamming
2. No Flaming
3. No saying this has already been made
4. No rude comments
