Nintendo had more grade A games, but I think Sega was pretty good competition.

Dreamcast Vs Gamecube?
I don't think that counts since DC was discontinued? Does it?

The Dreamcast was released a couple of years before the GameCube was. Development and progress on the system was dropped in early 2001, which was before the Gamecube's release in November later that year.

I knew you were gonna outsmart me. I already knew that though. Wikipedia is handy.

SEGA don't release their consoles anymore reallly, and because of that, Nintendo have madea slight joint to sega.

Did I say Sega makes consoles? I said they made games for DIFFERENT company's consoles. I still don't agree. Sega makes games for all consoles currently, not just Nintendo.

Well, Sega makes some pretty cool games. The Dreamcast was awesome. San Francisco Rush 2049 baby! Woot.
In my opinion, Atari is the best. Beats out both of them. Atari makes (or publishes) some pretty cool games.

What decade are you living in? Atari hasn't had anywhere near the success that it had in the 70's and 80's. Last I checked, they are on the verge of bankruptcy (AGAIN).

Yeah, a lot from the lawsuit that Chris Sawyer filed against them (About Locomotion and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3), which he won (Which I'm glad about). So yeah, Atari is really losing it.

They do still make games, I think they're in development on Alone In The Dark.

The Atari name and production houses are owned by Infogrames (Hasbro Interactive).

I wondered what happened to Hasbro (A lot of games I played as a little kid were Hasbro and then they suddenly disappeared).

Hasbro still makes game boards and toys and whatnot, but mostly for younger children it seems.
EDIT: And I worded my above post incorrectly. Infogrames ALSO owns Hasbro Interactive.

Im in the 2000s:rolleyes:. Yes but still, the games they publish are really cool. Like the Test Drive series. I know it hasn't had the success, but the Atari Flashback 2 (back in '05) should have helped a little. They just don't have what it takes anymore to make good games or a new system. They can't compete anymore.

 I HATE NITENDO why? well lets zoom back to when ps2 was at its prime , yes see it people rushing to buy it without a care in the world for nitendo consoles , now lets zoom back to now .... the Wii is outselling the ps3 and xbox combined together people are being brought into the gaming world by stupid mini games and casual games like brain training wii fit ect. we need more hardcore games now! or the ps3 and xbox will fall in to decline (unlikely)
now sega well ,

I agree, Wii needs more hardcore titles instead of gimmick games like Wii Fit.

The only reason the Wii is selling well is because it is cashing in on that "Go green" and "Get fit" stuff that is all the rage today. I personally loathe the Wii because it is without a doubt the worst and most finnicky system I have EVER had the displeasure of playing... and I've played games on a Gamecom and R-Zone before. That is saying a lot. (It's the stupid Wii controller that's the problem.)

Yup, Wii's stupid gimmick. I personally don't like the idea of the Wiimote. Pushing buttons and analog sticks are the way to go.

I hate the Wii because Games are meant to be played sitting down and not moving. If I wanted to be fit and active (which I am) I would go outside and play of football with a couple of friends.

Also, Casual games (e.g. wiifit brain training) cost less to make and sell more, so developers just take the easy way out instead of making hardcore likes metal gear solid or call of duty, which cost more to make and usually don't sell as much.
and i don't like the wii remote because i move it really really slowly and then it just flys all over the place
PS3 AND XBOX FTW

I can't stand the recent craze of "Brain Age" ages and rip-off wannabes. Nintendo has some really terrible games coming out for the Wii and DS that all center around "TRAIN YOUR BRAIN DERP DERP". :(

True, I don't like Brain Age, but I still much prefer the Ds's game library to the Wii's.

Ninetendo is clearly much better, seeing as they are still successful. The 64 was better than Dreamcast, even though it came out earlier.

most people admitt that PS2 etc were better than the gamecube but for the third generation consoles Wii is top, Xbox second and PS3 a long distance back. Some people who havn't really played the top Wii games (legend of zelda, mario galaxy etc) say that the system is for 'part time' gamers and yes, some games like that the cooking 1 (what is that?) and the second brain training are cashing in a bit, but this is the way gaming markets are going (eg, microsoft copying wii's family feel at E3) and nintendo are just exploting the gap. However go and complete fully legend of zelda, collecting everything then try and tell me there are no games for the hardcore gamer.
PS3 owners are mainly just bitter because they spent that amount of money on a new console when there is only 1 game worth playing.

The Saturn was sega's answer to the Playstation. The Saturn costs 30-70$ dollars and I already had one. I am still thinking about re buying it.
