Chapter One: the beginnings of a new time

Ten years have passed since the death of the Emperor and Darth Vader and the rebellion’s rise to power. The last lingering Imperials have fled to the outer rim, and the “New Republic” has started, but there is one threat the New Republic does not know about. In the years after the battle of Endor, Luke Skywalker, a new Jedi, started the new Jedi training Academy on the fourth moon of Yavin, to which people from all over the galaxy are came learn the Jedi ways. There was one student that Luke paid more attention to than the others: Gavin Grayshade. Luke said that the force was strong with him especially. Now, Gavin did not have much patience naturally, and one of the Jedi teachings was patience, and because of the long wait to start physical training, Gavin quit, and became a pilot for the new republic. He did not see much action in the months he waited, and he was about to quit, when the lingering Imperials launched an attack on Correlia. Gavin, the now famous Han Solo, Wedge Antilles, and some other pilots went to defend the planet. When they came out of hyperspace, fire from the Tie fighters started raining down on them. “Watch your tail Rouge Leader” Gavin said in his communication device in his X-wing. “I can’t shake him!” replied Wedge Antilles, known as rouge leader. The Tie fighter behind Wedge was about to fire, when it burst into flames. “Thanks red four” Wedge said to Gavin. “Ok boys, Lets head down to the surface, I’m eager to run out those Imperials, This is my home planet you know” said Han Solo over the COM link, and the pilots headed down to the surface.

Chapter two: the loss
When the fighters got to the surface, they realized that the Imperials had sent the last of their war fleet. Gavin was doing well, not a single bruise to his X-wing when a tie interceptor got behind him. “Someone help! Please!” screamed Gavin. There was no response, even though he knew the pilots heard him, and the tie fired. It wasn’t that bad of a hit but it fired a second time, and this time it hit the engine. His only hope was to manually open the cockpit, and jump out. He had to do it manually because his R2 unit was destroyed in the second blast to his hull. Gavin, as quickly as he could, opened the cockpit, and jumped. Gavin did not put on any kind of jetpack or parachute, so his landing was painful, right into a pond. Hurt badly, he crawled out with his last bit of strength. To his horror before he passed out, he swathe imperial’s last star destroyer burst into a fireball and the rebels leave, victorious. “NO! WAIT FOR ME!” he screamed at the top of his lungs, but no one heard him. Well, no rebels heard him, but a couple of Imperial scouts left from the battle did. They came over to the sound, and, seeing him like this, surprisingly, they took pity on him. They sent him to a medical station on one of the Star destroyers. Now, here he listened to the guards conversations. He found out two surprising facts: the Imperials used the DNA that they took from the Emperor, and cloned him. The other was that they had over 5,000 troops ready for battle on Tatooine, an outer rim desert territory with twin suns. Gavin knew if he could get this information back to the New Republic’s home base on Courasant, a planet that was literally a city, he help could stop these imperials by launching an attack when the Imperial soldiers weren’t ready. But to his Surprise, he was brought before the cloned Emperor. He did not know what was going to happen to him. “What are you doing to me?” he asked a guard. The guard replied “don’t worry; we are not going to kill you. Maybe”. The guard laughed, and Gavin was scared out of his mind.

Chapter three: brought before EVIL

The guard led Gavin into the throne room, where a smell, like burning energy, came from the deep chasm surrounding the walkway. The Emperor sensed their presence. “is this the one?” he asked the guard. “The exact one you asked for, sir.” Replied the guard. The guard took Gavin up to the Emperor. “I sense great power in this one” said the emperor. The Emperor ordered the guards to leave, and they complied. “I know what happened on the planet Gavin Greyshade” Said the Emperor. “Nothing happened on the Planet, and how do you know my name? “ I know everyone’s name, at least the ones strong with the force” Said the Emperor. “And on the planet, Gavin, your fellow pilots abandoned you!” continued the Emperor. “They did NOT abandon me!!!” yelled Gavin. “They just didn’t hear me, that’s all” “No, they left you to be killed in your time of need! To them, you were worthless trash!” said the Emperor. “Well, I did call for help. BUT THEY WOULD NEVER PURPOUSLY LEAVE ME TO ROT!” screamed Gavin loudly. The smell of energy grew denser and denser as Gavin got madder and madder at the Emperor. “You want to be a Jedi, don’t you?” asked the Emperor. “Yes” Replied Gavin. “But it takes too long to start the REAL training, I just can’t do it. The main reason I want to become one is to learn how to use the force and get a saber” confessed Gavin. “Well I can help you” said the Emperor. Suddenly, for no reason, the smell of energy grew so strong, it made Gavin pass out. His last sight that night was the Emperor sitting on his throne, laughing. Gavin awoke in his prison cell feeling like he had just been attacked by a Tusken Raider, or sand people, as some people call them. For some reason, he felt a weird feeling, a feeling of evil. He couldn’t bear this, so he tried to go to sleep. He finally managed to, but in his dream all he could see was him, using the force to destroy soldiers of the republic, and, in his dream, he eventually confronted Luke Skywalker, and, to his horror, killed him. He awoke with a terrible fright. “What’s going to happen to me”? He asked himself.

Chapter four: The Shadow of a dark lord

The next day, he was brought in an unfamiliar room. A tall dark figure stood above him. Of course, it was the Emperor. He was so nervous he almost threw up. He had a bad taste in his mouth from the dream the last night; he did not want to be taken in front of the Emperor. “At last I get to talk to you out of my throne room. The power of the force inside that room makes it, err, foggy” said the Emperor”. “Must I deal with you this morning” Replied Gavin. “I sensed that dream last night. I knew what I said was making a mark on you” Said the Emperor with just a glance at Gavin. “Yes, I understand what you said MAY have been true”. Replied Gavin. “It was, it was”. Then the Emperor said something very surprising. “Join me, and you can learn the force without all that Jedi stuff before physical training.” Gavin was completely surprised. “Not that long to start the real training huh?” “Nothing will get in my way of physical training, right?” he asked. “Nothing at all” replied the Emperor. “Good, then I will do it!!”
