Curtis began to hand in the printed sheets containing their booking information. Alice began to stack the bags on the baggage belt. 'Gate number fifteen, boarding begins at fifteen-hundread hours. Enjoy your flight' said the woman behind the desk. 'Thanks' said Curtis as he and Alice began to walk to security.

They were now at the gate. It was two o' clock in the afternoon, so they had and hour to wait. Curtis pulled out his "Nintendo DS" and began to play "Super Mario". He turned up the volume a little. There weere shrieks of "Hee-ya!" and "Das so nice" Alice took out a book, and begand to read it. It was called "Drown" About ten minutes past beofre Alice started to get annoyed with Curtis. 'Will you please turn off the volume, or at least wear headphones?!" asked Alice. 'Sorry Alice, I will' said Curtis as he took out a pair of headphones and put it into the slot on the games console. Alice got back to reading her book. Another half hour past. It was now about twenty minustes to three o' clock. Alice tapped Curtis and said; 'Will you go and start a line, so we can be one of the first. I will follow you'. Curtis stood up and turned around and said 'Okay, promise you'll follow' He turned back and began to walk. The, suddenly, and police officer came in holding a cup of cold, mucky coffee in one hand and in the other he had gun. 'Hey! No one move! This is just a security check, for Trans-Atlantic flights. Be calm' he shouted in is deep New Yorker accent. He went around the room for about three minutes and then spilled his drink. 'Oh fiddle sticks' he said trying to hold in the swearing. He walked out of the room coverd in cold, mucky coffee.

'Please have your passport and boarding pass ready!' shouted a woman across the room as most of the people began to run to the desk to get on the plane. Alice and Curtis were first to board, they found two seat side-by-side in the aisle row. A few people sat along side them. They waited fro about a half hour bofre the captin began to speak 'Hello! My name is Captain Steve Jones. The flight will take about seven hours, to Shannon Airport, sit back, relax, and enjoy, the flight!' he said is a strong Irish accent. Alice tapped Curtis as the began to taxi to the runway. She pointed to her lips. Curtis instantly knew what she meant and gave hear a little kiss and held her hand for take off. 'Cabin crew, seats please' announced the pilot. One of the cabin crew shot down the aisle to her seat, sat down and waited.

There was a balst of lound noise as the engine began to reach full power. The pilot realesd the brakes and the plane began to take off.

- Chapter Three - In The Air -

Alice puled out a pillow out of her bag and put it up on the window and began to sleep, while Curtis was waiting for the Snack Trolley to come by. It came by, and Curtis bought a bar and a coffe for himself and a sandwich and a cola for Alice. He gently shook Alice to wake her up so she could eat. 'What... Huh?' she mumbled as she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. 'I got you these' said Curtis, as he handed the food to Alice as she puled down her meal tray. 'This is only a snack, hot food will be comin' round later in the flight. Okay?' Curtis said as he placed the box on the meal tray. 'Gottcha' said Alice as she opened up the plastic wrapping of the sandwich. They both began to eat.

- Chapter Three - Turbulence -

One of the cabin crew came down the aisle with a bin asking for trash. Alice threw in the paper cup, her can, the sandwich wrapper and Curtis' bar wrapper. 'Thank you' said the cabin crew in a low, Scotish accent. There was a period of calm on the plane when every thing was silent. The plane began to shake. Babies began to wail because they were scared. The seat belt sign flashed on, and there were hundreads of seatbelts being fastened. The plane began to shake harder ansd harder. It began to calm down, but most people kept their belts on. The hot meal trolley past threw the aisle. Curtis took a steak while Alice took nothing.

They had been in the air for four hours, and most people wear asleep. It was getting dark out side, and a little windy. Turbulence began to crawl up again, but the pilot didnt turn on the sign. The plane was silent, with only a few snores from old men. The plane began to shake harder and harder. But in the end, one of the four engines gave up. The plane began turnin violently to the left hand side while the piolt despretly tried to turn it back. After ten minutes a few people began to wake up, with the angle they were flying at. There were a few screams, and then the whole aircraft broke out into chaos. Poeple were screaming and sounting, oxygen masks were falling. After ten minutes, which seamed like ten hours, another engine falied, and the plane was now heading toward ground. At this stage, Curtis and Alice were holding and and bracing fot the impact that was to come.

For one last time, Alice and Curtis snogged each other. It was a full on one. The turned away and looked out the windows, they were closing down on a busy road. The pilot could be heard screaming 'Mayday! Mayday!' Alice and Curtis went back to whta could be their last moments together. As they snogged they hugged, and said good-bye, 'Good bye my love!' shouted Curtis, as he pulled out a ring. 'I know it can't happen now' he said as he sobbed,' But will you marry me?' he said as he continued to sob. 'Af course I will!' shouted Alice a she hugged him. He quickly put the ring on her hand and kissed her on the cheek. Suddenly, there was a loud "Boom" and flames were seen everywere.

People were screaming in pain. Flames began to ingulf the plane. Curtis grabbed Alice in his hands. But, it was too late. The impact had killed Alice instantly. Curtis began to howl as he held her cold, dead body. He treid to clamber out of the plane, but he couldn't. Smoke filled his lungs and he slowly died.

More and more people began to howl out, with screams of help and dispair. Flames made it throught the entire plane.
